With SPT Brighton just over 24 hours away, time to get the Live Update thread started.

Are you coming along? If so, from where, how you getting there, and where are you staying?

On the weather front, it's raining in Brighton today, but the forecast suggests "sun and clouds" all weekend, so that'll do nicely.

If you are driving down (or across...) don't forget there is a FREE Car Park smack opposite the Venue.

I shall be attending on Saturday, I’m driving all the way from Hailsham, staying at a nice 3 up 2 down place called home 😊

GL to all, wanted to play it but need to pick my kids up from the airport in Birmingham Saturday morning, I was bought up in Crawley so we used to have our nights out in Brighton (had some crazy nights there) night life is great. Played my first live mtt in the rendezvou casino, lot of love for Brighton.

So you must be familiar with North Dicker, South Dicker, & above all, The Dicker?

Tbh I didn’t know there was a North or South Dicker, I do know Upper Dicker though.

The Dicker reminds me of a story 30 plus years ago.

A couple know were driving down from Wellingborough to Eastbourne for a visit to see about moving down here permanently.

When they saw a signpost The Dicker they burst out laughing, moments later, they saw another one Lower Dicker, the hilarity continued, one of them said ,

" wouldnt it be funny if there was an Upper Dicker"....

They had to stop the car through falling about laughing.

I'm coming from Perranporth near Newquay in Cornwall, so a fair old drive along the 'Highway to the Sun' (A303). Rooming with Will (HANSON), and Andy (SidV79) in an Air BnB near the station.

Hi see u all tom i will arriving on train checking in to the Royal Albion hotel. And straight down to casino for a few pints. And maybe some poker. See u all tomorrow. 1st round on misty.

Hired an apartment at the Marina for me, wife and the kids.
This means that I will need to finish 3rd to break even.

.....anyone staying at the Royal Albion in the middle of August, has got far more money than me. We looked at staying there, and thought it seemed quite reasonable 'til we saw the price was per night and not for 3 nights!

I doubt if I'll get the chance to pop along this weekend but I'm sure you'll all have a great time. For those that get knocked out early or have some free time during the day Eastbourne Airborne is on this weekend (Thursday through to Sunday), which is only 15 miles along the coast. It's a great day out, free and you can see everything from Spitfires to Typhoons, including the Red Arrows. Well worth a visit.

I'm travelling down via train. didn't pick the best route, it was the cheapest but I need to take underground from KingsX to victoria station during rush hour !

We are all set here in Brighton, 18 tables, plenty of dealers, just need some players now.

We are underway here at Brighton and with 139 entrants so far have already passed the half way mark of reaching the £50k guarantee. You get to play with a monstrous 500 Big Blinds for the first 40 minutes so it usually takes something pretty special to bust out in level 1. All notables are still in.
