Thanks for the stream, thoroughly enjoyed. Great run in the 3.30 rebuy (brutally ended AJ<A6 for massive pot with 9 left). Well played and see you next week.
ps. keep your head up- you're certainly playing a winning game over all (in my humble opinion), results will come I'm sure.
We've hit a pretty big downswing from basically the beginning of this year, finishing the session last night on £223. Been a tough run but that's what tournaments can do to you, just have to stick at it, adjust my buy ins and go again.
I've been losing a lot of important flips deep in tournaments to get those big scores but I'm sure in time I will convert one and take it down.
Moving forward to tonight, the challenge returns to Twitch where I will be casting the TT events and several others LIVE. See you there!
Right, so I've tried to write this post once and when I went to edit, it deleted itself, so I will try again
I've not updated this challenge now for a good couple months, and as most of you know most of my detailed content was on the blog page. Moving forward there really isn't any point having the blog as 90% of my audience is on here anyway so the content will now all be focused on here.
The reason for the lack of updates is mainly based on results. I haven't been motivated to provide and content due to the terrible start I have had to the challenge in 2018. It's always tough when you go on a big downswing, but what's even tougher is writing about it.
But we are here now and this is how 2018 has been so far -
Sharkscope is not always the most accurate source to go to, and for that reason I am now documenting all my sessions personally on excel. But this gives you a rough idea of the run I have been on.
-£400ish is the number, and it sure isn't a pretty one. Especially when it's a £500 challenge.
The bankroll is currently £141.
This limits the tournaments I can play and unfortunately stops me from playing great nightly tournaments like the £7.20 semi and the £7.70 BH. It also limits the games I can play at the weekend the main one being the £11 Mini Major on sunday (although I did play it this sunday just gone anyway)
The grind will now consist of more £2 tournaments with the odd £5.50 in there too. I will still be playing the nightly Mini, which just offers too much value to pass up on.
With all that being said I'm still motivated and look forward to providing more consistent updates on the forum for you guys.
I will also be back on Twitch, starting this evening with some new graphics and a new incentive to subscribe. If you are a sub to the channel you will join the SP Club with the chance to enter competitions and take part in giveaways I will be running. I will also be adding some extra rewards for team Ads members in the TT Series, so keep an eye out on here for updates on that. Most likely starting in March.
So if you want to see a losing tournament player lose money playing tournaments, tune into the channel this evening
Twitch definitely motivates me to play my best and it always helps having support from people like @MynaFrett@notbrook1@Duesenberg and many others to keep me moving forward. We even get the legendary @MattBates getting involved!
Hopefully will speak to some of you later in the channel, and good luck if you are on the grind this evening.
Fingers crossed for an upswing heading your way soon Ads. Downswings suck but I have all the more respect for those who will continue to update their blogs/diaries when times are tough, so hats off to you for that.
I don't know if you ever dabble in cash games but 4nl is super soft on Sky and it could be a good way to supplement your MTT buy ins whilst the bankroll isn't in the best of shape.

It's usually my "go to" if I bust all my tournaments early, but is not something I take advantage of nearly enough. Usually I will load up 5 - 6 4nl games and play for around an hour at the end of my session.
This may be an outlet in future to claw back some of those tournament losses for sure
Takes guts and shows character to post such an honest update. Definitely spend some more time grinding a bit of micro/low stakes cash- that is basically what funds my tournament buy-ins on my current downswing and you're good enough to make it work for you as well in much the same way. Just have a table or two on the side. Best of luck to you going forward mate, you're not a losing player, it will come good again I'm sure.
I will swing by the stream tonight shortly but I've got a lot going on tonight across multiple platforms so not sure how much I'll be able to interact... I'll be there anyway.

I've been a bit under the weather the past couple of days so didn't play last night. Caught a bit of your stream though and it was enjoyable as always
It is obviously difficult alongside a full time job to have that consistent schedule but I will do the best I can to get online
