Once again it's been a long time since my last update. Have been on holiday for the majority of this week, but did get a couple of sessions in before and have played the last couple nights since I've been back.
As some of you may have seen I debuted my new twitch layout last friday, playing the usual stuff, found it a little more difficult than usual to deal with losses. I feel like that's just mainly down to low confidence/bankroll atm with the added pressure of having people watching
The session itself was enjoyable as always though, having the stream regs and fellow Sky grinders in the chat for support was great.
I've been taking some time to look back and think about the mistakes I have made and where it has gone wrong up to this point in the challenge. I want to set a few goals moving forward to implement that will hopefully help me move the bankroll back to a respectable number.
100% Focus on the grind - No Twitch or YouTube during a session
Bankroll Management - Try not to be drawn into regging the Mini
I feel like these 3 are mistakes I have made that may have contributed to getting me into the position I am in, and correcting these/utilizing cash games is something that can't be a bad thing moving forward.
The bankroll is currently sitting at £80.99
Which could be worse, last night I came third in the £5.50 FreezeOut for £30 with a nice overlay to bail out the session, and the night before a £10 score in the nightly Freeroll did the same thing.
It's probably getting to a point now where I need to be cutting out the £5.50s, but the tournament volume depends so heavily on them that I feel obliged to play at least 2 or 3 a night.
Anyway, I don't want to moan on for too long so I'll leave it there, hope I can inspire some of you guys that may be in a similar position to never give up. As long as you recognise your mistakes and are willing to make the changes to improve you will be successful.
I'll see some of you on the blue felt this evening, best of luck to everyone!
Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time on the virtual felt. I certainly hope the cash games prove to be a success - I'll probably feel a little guitly/bit of a berk if not lol!
Nice score on Stars last night Ads ... I was lurking in Pavs stream when you popped up with your boom player hand etc But I was watching in bed on my laptop and I didn't want to bring my hands out from under the duvet to type a little congrats message... I apologise... Congrats!

I really should have re-read that one before sending ... trust the Chuckle Brothers to jump on it at almost the same time though - great minds eh lads, great minds...
Haha I didn't put anything on here about it for obvious reasons, but thank you Myna, was awesome to win a tournament with over 2k players even if it was only a $1.10.
For the record though I have moved most of the score from Stars to my Sky account so I can get back involved in some bigger tournaments/10nl games again
Now attempting to record all my results from Sky in an excel document, doesn't look great at the moment but that will come in time.
Shoutout to Pav btw, great player and awesome to get some insight on a hand in that spot.
I was making moves and mixing it up on that final table, and 90% of the time they were working. Pretty close to perfect run and a win to show for it
Moving forward the goals will be as follows -
Play Less Tables Focus on every pot I'm involved in Add more cash sessions to the schedule
These are just things to focus on moving forward to try and stop this downswing, Twitch will become more prevalent again soon now we have a BR to work with again.
Grats on the score Ads - impressive in such a huge field! Hopefully things will turn around for you on Sky now Enjoy all of your content - would you consider a post about downswings/emotions, feelings in downswings or would you find that too personal to write about? Pretty sure it's something everyone could relate to! Had somebody berating me about the size of my recent downswing the other day in some £3 tourney! Glgl!

See you've had a couple of scores yourself recently End of downswing?
Ha! Well spotted @Angmar2626 ... was I that blatant about it? I've had a couple of decent results lately, yes. My Sky roll is replenished (for now and - like Ads - having been too close to busto for comfort) and I suppose the downswing is over... I hope I can keep moving in the right direction for some sort of sustained period now... is it too much to ask to have a Sharkscope graph that has a nice, clean, smooth, upward trajectory like the crushers?... who... are good... and probably put legitimate work into their games... ...Speaking of - how are you doing lately pal?
Wow. A quick Sharkscope search has revealed that your downswing is over and in some style @Angmar2626 (18/02: £370, 2nd Sheriff. 22/02: £349, 1st £1500BH. 02/03: £865, 3rd Avenger)
In terms of the emotion when it comes to downswings. It doesn't affect me as much as it used to, I personally have been playing poker the best part of 9 years and played a lot of hands so nothing really surprises me when it comes to poker nowadays.
Obviously it's a huge knock on your confidence, which in my opinion is the worst part. You think you are beating a certain game consistently then bang, you hit a brick wall and the graph spirals downwards.
Saying that streaming on Twitch whilst on that downswing was tough for me to handle, especially when it's a losing session. Having people watch your every move when the confidence is so low was tough for sure. Definitely a learning experience for me going forward.
Sometimes I feel like they can be a blessing in disguise, I have worked on my game more in the last few weeks than I have in a long time, and I know it shouldn't take a downswing to do this but at least it's given me the motivation to improve, and take my game to the next level.
Thanks for the comments @Angmar2626, hope that has given you some more insight and congrats on the recent success

Morning Ads.
I'm sorry, but the Updates you wrote 3 times all ended up in the Naughty Room for reasons beyond my understanding.
I've verified everything now, moved them back here, & deleted the duplicates.
Sorry about that.
No problem, thanks for the update

Yep, it's a great achievement being last man standing in a field of that size regardless of the buy-in.
Pav's great - I think he might actually be my favourite (poker) streamer now, he's up there anyway.
That's a healthier looking roll... put it to work this time yea
gl buddy.
