    Hi Marky

Don't know how Waller manages to kick the weed and lose weight at same time-superb effort. Think I put on 4 stone when I kicked the cigs

You have a stressful job. No-one's last words have ever been "I wish I had spent more time at work". That said, your current goals look really tricky.

I suggest you elect to do 1 or the other (weight or tabs) for now, and then add the other one once you have a break. Good luck either way

My advice is to vape. It REALLY helps. It's not the same as smoking of course, but it really does take the edge off.

With Cheltenham fever I forgot to weigh in this morning so will be doing it tomorrow. So excited and I’m only watching the racing on the telebox

    Update after week 10;

    Starting weight = 14st 12lbs

    Weight after Week 1 = 14st 6lbs

    Weight after Week 2 = 14st 1lb

    Weight after Week 3 = 14st 0lbs

    Weight after week 4 = 13st 12lbs

    Weight after week 5 = 13st 10lbs

    Weight after week 6 = 13st 9lbs

    Weight after week 7 = 13st 8lbs

    Weight after week 8 = 13st 5lbs

    Weight after week 9 = 13st 3lbs

    Weight after week 10 = 13st 0lbs

Total loss to date is exactly 1 stone & 12lbs in 10 weeks (just over 2.5lbs per week).

Happy with that, think the increased daily exercise has made all the difference.

Not much to report here, still at 17 stone 3. My report card would continue to read 'could do better'.

Well done to everyone else. Brilliant effort all.

Sorry, letting the side down at the moment.

I kind of have an excuse this week, spent time away with family. Yorkshire pubs don't seem to do small portions and their chippies definitely don't either.

I am afraid I had more than one major blow out, including Monster fish and chips, a full Yorkshire sunday roast with a pudding (it was mother's day), scampi and chips (was in Whitby it had to be done) and a Chinese buffet.

On the plus side I did manage a few good walks, not as many as I would have liked thanks to the weather and one of them I confess was interrupted by a couple of pints.

    So last week I was 14st 9lb.

This week I have unsurprisingly put on weight, and I have to be fairly satisfied that I managed to limit it to 1lb.

    Weight now 14st 10lb.

2 mile walk planned for tomorrow and 0 chips or puddings for the week.

Good to see some brilliant numbers from others though, well done.

    Hi all,

Sorry for the extended absence, had a bit of a difficult few weeks with various stresses (wont bore you with the details but nothing life threatening, just a combination of various stuff) so wasn’t sleeping and was overeating, no exercise etc. Basically fell off the wagon.
Fortunately things are now looking up, wife has a new job starting soon close to where I work, so long term will be looking to move house, and then cycle to work most days, which should shift some weight off!
Won’t be moving for a while though, and don’t want to look like Bowser puffing along on the bike, so need to push on and at least keep the weight under control in the meantime.
Weighed in the other day and sitting back up at 15stone 5lbs so could be worse.
Great to see some significant drops on here, just shows what can be done if you are consistent each week.
    Starting Weight 15st 9lbs
    Current Weight 15st 5lbs

Only one pound this week, which is slightly disappointing, but the weekly loss is bound to taper off now.

Was hoping it would be 12st 12lbs, meaning I'd be founder member of the "Lost 2 stone club" but fell just half a pound shy.

On a more positive note, I've now left the 13 stone zone & joined the upper reaches of the 12's.

Have upped my daily exercise regime this week, not sure it's helping much but seems right.

Awkward week coming up, as I'm off to Manchester tomorrow for the RTM thing. Always awkward to diet when working away, breakfast on the train can't be resisted, breakfast in the hotel etc. All told tomorrow will be an 18 hour day, so breakfast is needed, but will try to resist eating Casino food.

Progress. My local "speak your weight" machine has changed from "no coach parties" to "one at a time, please". 1 more week, then exercising starts. Well done (again) Tony, suggest don't skimp on the breakfast as reward for avoiding the casino food.

Good luck all-hope to see various of you in Nottingham

That's great work Phil, 1st 5lbs is serious weight loss.

I always visualise weight loss in (what used to be ) 2lb bags of sugar, so you've shed 9 & a half bags of sugar. How good is that?

Sorry to be letting the side down again.

The only glimmer of positive spin is that I have not put any weight on this week.

Stuck at 14st 10lb my post holiday weight.

I need to step up on the exercise or it is not going to shift. I ate a lot better this week but didn't exercise.

VWP Tony and Phil and welcome back Butler,

Added incentive - From now until I reach the target of 14st 0lb, every week I lose weight I will put aside £10 for charity I will chose at the end of the task. Every week I do not lose weight I will give £10 to the charity nominated by the biggest loser of the week.

    GL All.
