SPT Las Vegas LIVE UPDATE

Morning all, the big day has arrived, & this will be the thread for the Live Update.

I plan to arrive at Venetian at approx noon, & assuming I can find a work station, will get some scene setting photos up.

Play starts at 2pm local (10pm UK), so the Live Update will run through the night UK time, meaning the thread won't get much bounce overnight, but at least you'll wake up to the story of how it all went.

    The Sky Poker staff on hand will be Mark, James & Kirsty, and of course I'll be there as water carrier & general factotum.

    Tikay, what's the 'in' one arm bandit of choice this year? Last year I seem to recall the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory one was everywhere. Also is the Betty White Storytime slot machine still about near the Venetian cardroom? Nothing better when you are on the verge of tilt after a bad beat than to see Rose from Golden Girl's smiling face, asking you to put a buck in the slot.

    The our or so BEFORE an SPT starts is always a bit fraught, but it's going quite well so far.

    The guys are registering & being given their seat & table allocations, getting their GRAZIE cards, & so on.

    No sign of Sky James, we are a bit worried about him. He was last seen going to his room with a nubile young lady at 6am this morning. Can't begin to imagine what has happened to him.

    Tourney is up & running, everyone is revved up, might just be the best atmo at an SPT ever.

    Bit busy organising stuff but will try & get some photos up shortly.

    Early chippie might just be Irish Rose, who hit trip tens. She has a monster scary table, with railtard to her immediate left.

    Rather worryingly, on Table Railtard the first hand played was 3 way & was CHECKED EVERY STREET. As you can imagine, Railtard was not in the hand, but he was in tears watching.
