I'm going to go check-in to my hotel now, & get some dinner.
I'll be on Update & schmooze Duties all day tomorrow & we will get the thread revved up with some photos, bits & bobs and maybe give away a few prizes for free to enter forum comps.
I've arranged for the overnight chip counts to be available to me tomorrow morning, so that'll be my first job, to get them all typed up & on the Forum.
Team talk, with Mr Channing (busto), Mr Bates (ditto), & Sky James, who is taking well-deserved a break from live updating.
Keen eyed observers may note Timmy Ra Ra & the perfectly lovely Anna in the background.
Why is the 'perfectly lovely Anna' sitting on his lap, were there not enough chairs? Also did not expect Timmy to be that old. The chap walking to the bar seems to have caught her eye and seems much more her type though!
Most of you will recognize Melty (seat 8) but would be less familiar with the gent with the unruly hair (near left) who is quite the character.
His name is Ronnie Debeaulox, & that's the French pronunciation of beaulox. His nick is Racing Ronnie, as he used to live by the winning post (literally) of Lingfield Racecourse. He's a standing dish here at Brighton, proper C & D specialist.
One day when time permits & if you are all bored enough I'll tell the story of when Ronnie, Ed Giddens, another gent & myself went to Moscow in around 2004 to play a team event & won $90,000, which we chopped 4 ways. Then things started to go wrong, & before long they went wronger - badly wronger - & it ended rather awkwardly when we all got arrested at the Airport. A week or two later, it went even more badly wrong, in a coup which would be funny if it were not so tragic.
Anyway, maybe that's another tale for another day.
'A tale for another day' - SPT ends Sunday, Monday is another day, I expect to see the full tale posted on Monday. You can't post a taster like that and then not give full details, it looks like an epic.
15 minutes to SU&D here, & the room is virtually empty. Bit of a worry that, the fear is that a 100 or so players will poll up just before start time & end up on the alternate list.

And they are off and running.
The state of play at 2.45pm today.
The young lady with the lovely smile is Mich, aka CoffeenCreme.
Batesy in focus, cpfc_2010 not so much. It's not my fault he moved.
Lord Jeff Kimber of Grosvenorshire, watching Newcastle v Cardiff on his IPad whilst paying poker. What a time to be alive.
Probs best not to ask what the dealer has been doing.
Heads up, & pompeynic has J-J, villain has K-K.

No prizes for guessing who had the Kings. WP cpfc-2010.
