Afternoon all, & welcome to the SPT Glasgow Live Update on the Sky Poker Forum.
Action gets under way at 4pm on Friday, which is Day 1A, with Day 1B starting at 2pm on Saturday, & the Final on Sunday, with a 1pm kick off.
It coincides with the clocks going forward early on Sunday morning, so I bet a few players arrive an hour early. Or is it late? I can never work out which.

Venue is Alea in Glasgow, which as you can see from these 2 photos taken just outside the cardroom, sits right on the bank of the River Clyde.
Let's start with a little test of your UK casino knowledge.
Alea Glasgow sits right on the bank of the Clyde, but name 2 UK casinos that sit, literally, over the sea.
The Update will be mostly photos & chit-chat on the 2 Day 1's, then on Sunday, we will bring you chip counts, bust-outs & so on all the way down to the winner.
Last time Sky Poker held an SPT in Glasgow, we were treated to a most unusual site, when the winner stood up - never once sat down - for the entire 2 days, as he was suffering from a bad back.
Here's Bad Back Bloke when it got Heads Up.
Not sure I've ever seen anyone do that before.
Anyone seen any other unusual sites in a poker tournament or poker room?
And here's another oddity about Alea Glasgow - it has windows, with real daylight.
It's extremely rare for Casinos to have natural light or windows.
Even more unusual - not sure I've ever seen one anywhere in the world - is clocks in a casino.
Casino owners are not daft.
If you have any questions as the event progresses, please don't hesitate to ask. A Live Update without feedback & bounce is the worst thing ever, & very hard work.
Don't make the questions too hard though.

Hi Danny,
SPT Nottingham will be 4th to 6th October.
Clocks go FORWARD, so an hour less in bed on Saturday night/Sunday morning Tikay, so what would have been 12 Noon becomes 1pm (13:00)....Start Time
EDIT: ....and for those who put there clocks BACK by mistake and arrive 2 hours late, your chips will have all gone!
The good thing about modern phones, the time (British Summer Time) is updated automatically ....so there's no excuses
No sugars, but two sweeteners please.
Why?
Should be a good game.
Good luck to all those going, I would have liked to have been there, but, I do have another SPT in June to look forward to though.
