The Update will be mostly photos & chit-chat on the 2 Day 1's, then on Sunday, we will bring you chip counts, bust-outs & so on all the way down to the winner.
Last time Sky Poker held an SPT in Glasgow, we were treated to a most unusual site, when the winner stood up - never once sat down - for the entire 2 days, as he was suffering from a bad back.
Here's Bad Back Bloke when it got Heads Up.
Not sure I've ever seen anyone do that before.
Anyone seen any other unusual sites in a poker tournament or poker room?
@mattbates is rumoured to have bought a round at one spt. I don't believe it though.

I waited till no one was around and whispered anyone want a drink so technically I count it as getting a round in.
Good luck everyone! Does anyone have a rough idea when the satellites will start for SPT Brighton? Me and my brother are thinking it would be a good break from the kitchen in August if we can qualify ha ha

When I got off the train at Glasgow Central, I could not help notice how many Greggs (the Bakers) shops there were, they are everywhere.
So I went a-googling, & found this;
Local Authority // Greggs Stores (per 100,000 people)
Newcastle upon Tyne // 29 (9.9)
West Dunbartonshire // 8 (8.9)
Gateshead // 17 (8.5)
Allerdale // 8 (8.3)
Glasgow City // 50 (8.2)
Bridgend // 11 (7.7)
Cardiff // 26 (7.3)
Sunderland // 20 (7.2)
City of Edinburgh // 35 (7.0)
South Lanarkshire // 21 (6.6)
The Hippo has turned up. He's not ageing at all well.

If I had to guess - & it is a guess - late June/early July.
One of the rarest sights in poker - a licensed cardroom with windows & natural daylight.
Looks like I might be playing this today, so Updates will be thin on the ground until I bust out.*
* Go on then, tap that in.
Oh wait - James is here, so it'll be fine.
Play has commenced.
Started with 69 runners, far more than I expected.
All good.
Mr Channing is in the building, only 7 minutes late.
And in shock news, he has had a haircut.
Got 5-5 early doors, so raised (that's what the kids do), 4 callers.
A-6-7 flop, I bet, 2 callers, the 8 turn kept me interested, but the K river was a bridge too far so the white flag had to be unfurled.
Then lost with 7-2 (don't ask) before getting a few back with A-9.
Raised it up with 3-3 (that's what the kids do.....), 2 callers including 'Arry At It.
10-5-2, I bet, At-It calls.
Turn is the gin 3, I bet, At-It calls.
River is a blank, 2 flush draws both missed.
I lead for 1,500, At-It makes it 4,500.
WTF?
I hero - HERO - with my set of three and it's good, he was FOS.
32,000 from 25,000 starting.
