In dog news, woke up at 6:30 to sound of dog yakking up a treat that he hadn't bothered to chew yesterday.

Finished the clean up operation to find dog upside down, legs in the air, fast asleep. Snoring. On my pillow. Deep joy.

Still, at least I've got the Brexit thread update to look forward to. Now, I know, I'm perceptive. Tell me-do you sometimes think that maybe, just maybe, @Haysie does not support Brexit?

    A very astute observation.

    Brutal game, sometimes.

Just gone out of the £30k guaranteed in comical fashion.

Had a big stack, then lost a massive pot when AQ shoved on my AA. These things happen.

Bottom 5 stack for nearly 2 hours, then up to average stack.
Exit hand. Me-JJ. I raise, call from BB. Flop 7 5 3. Villain shoves for 2 x pot- with A9. Turn 4, river 2. GG me.

So-while sulking, joke of the day.

Went to a stag night the other day-hypnotist there. Gets the old watch out, puts 7 guys under the fluence. Instructs them all to strip naked. Then-oh, dear. Hypnotist accidentally dropped the watch on his big toe, and said "f-ck me".

What happened next is going to haunt me for some time...

Very unlucky in Super Sunday £30K (Thank you SKY for putting on such a FANTASTIC day)

Your thread is such a great read Phil, keep it up..... and that joke is absolutely class :D:D:D

All helps with the Vegas fund Phil, well done

    True.
Money is a lot tighter since I gave up work.

I have always kept a separate poker bank account to keep poker funds separate from real life funds, and careful records of any transfers between the 2 accounts.

That win will fund my $1,000 entry to the WSOP Seniors event.

Well done Phil. The Seniors is June 13th, so I assume you are extending your stay?
Yes. Biggest cost of a Vegas trip is the flight, so made sense to extend my stay a bit. Not by too much, as Vegas can get to you after a while.

The Palazzo is the best hotel I have EVER stayed in (only the Wynn has even come close), so opted for somewhere more reasonably priced for the extra 3 days. Staying at the Gold Coast-next door to the Rio, and less expensive.

For Sky qualifiers who have not been before, prepare to be amazed by the Palazzo, as well as Vegas generally.

Been an ambition of mine to play in the Seniors event at the WSOP for a while, and the Sky package just made it doable.
Hey Phil..now you're in the ££...try the Aria? stunning

    Way too expensive for me.

But I have never played a tournament there. When they probably run the best regular mid-stakes tournaments. Ridiculous. To be rectified this time, hopefully.

    I have previously played at:-

Planet Hollywood; Treasure Island; MGM Grand; Park MGM (when the Monte Carlo); Venetian; Wynn; Palazzo; Ballys; and the Rio.

Would play at all of those again, except probably Ballys. Check where any event being played at PH-some rooms have poor lighting

    Stayed at:-
New York, New York; Flamingo; Monte Carlo; Wynn; Palazzo; MGM Grand.

Would stay at all of these again, except probably NYNY.

I'm REALLY starting to look forward to it...

    Back to button clicking.
Not playing well, but ran like Bates to win the 7 at 7, so small profit on the day.

In 7 days time I will be in Sin City :)

It is so hot today in the Essex Sunshine Coast.

Humidity?-Just saw someone from the Far East sweating.

Want to play poker online, but it is too hot-even my fan sounds like it is crying.

Will probably not play tonight, and provide a record of Sunday instead.

Saturday is out, obviously-COYS. Win or lose, it has been a good season for football generally, and Spurs in particular.

    Joke of the day.

Little old lady, waving her stick round, singing "21 today, 21 today"

Skinhead walks up to her, and says "What do you mean, you mad old woman, you're not 21". She smashes him over the head with her stick.

And sings "22 today, 22 today"

    Brutal Sunday.
KK v AA, 3 QQ v AK, rivered in the Main here by the mighty 8 5.
    Meh.

If only I had something to look forward to :)

Thanks to everyone who has read this thread, and particularly those who commented-much appreciated.

Unless something newsworthy happens in Vegas, that is the end of my comments on this thread.

    Good luck
