Winterburn is interchangeable with Nelson for this purpose.
They are not Sansom or Cole. Neither are they Andre Santos or Pascal Cygan (I used to love "that" song). But they are the sort of players that make the team you support (whoever that might be) special.
It has always amazed me how England has produced lots of world-class left backs, and next to no right backs. Until now. I believe Walker and Alexander-Arnold are the best ever England right backs, ahead of Neal and Anderson.
I have great memories of seeing both Sansom and Cole playing for Palace, Sansom made his Palace debut in the year I saw my first live game, So sad to see how his life spiralled downwards in recent years. Ashley Cole played for Palace during the 1999/2000 season and even back then his quality really stood out.
You obviously have never seen Aaron Wan Bissaka.
I have to compliment you on your musical taste, I've seen Christy live a couple of times, the man knows how to put on a show.
I haven't seen Wan Bissaka live. The sort of transfer fees they are talking about means that people think he will special, too.
I have seen Christy live several times. I remember standing at the Fleadh in London one year, and next to me in the audience was the Headliner. One Bob Dylan. Many people have covered Dylan songs, but he has only ever specifically written a song for 1 artist other than himself-Christy.
What a show he puts on. "Joxer goes to Stuttgart" is the best football song ever. Beautiful songs like "Fairytale of New York" or "City of Chicago". Funny songs like "Don't forget your shovel (if you want to go to work)" or "Weekend in Amsterdam". And "Ordinary Man". The only song guaranteed to make me cry.
I actually have something strategy wise I want to ask you, but I cant find the OP where you said what you said.
When I find it, ill ask.
Was it the bit on here about the Bounty Hunters on GG Poker? i did think that people might comment on that
It was something Matt Bates said to you when he met you live, something like you were easy to play against. I think it was about GTO or shove folding. If I could find it, I could phrase my question .

I can't find it. But I do remember roughly what it was.
It related to qualifiers. Matt said it was always good to play someone who understands how to play qualifiers and ICM play, because then it is so much easier to raise and force them to fold.
And that is correct. The fun bit is deciding when to lie and play back when (in just that 1 hand in isolation) it is incorrect. Because sometimes you have to.
great point from Matt about playing people who understand sats/qualifiers shoving vs unknown people who will call very wide vs shoving vs Matt chickenmelt lollollo etc is great part of the game. also playing back at them when you know they know your capable of fold, just unfortunate when Matt always has it

Always amazes me how few people understand that satellites play differently to regular tournaments
True. Money is a lot tighter since I gave up work.
I have always kept a separate poker bank account to keep poker funds separate from real life funds, and careful records of any transfers between the 2 accounts.
That win will fund my $1,000 entry to the WSOP Seniors event.

Well done Phil. The Seniors is June 13th, so I assume you are extending your stay?

Yes. Biggest cost of a Vegas trip is the flight, so made sense to extend my stay a bit. Not by too much, as Vegas can get to you after a while.
The Palazzo is the best hotel I have EVER stayed in (only the Wynn has even come close), so opted for somewhere more reasonably priced for the extra 3 days. Staying at the Gold Coast-next door to the Rio, and less expensive.
For Sky qualifiers who have not been before, prepare to be amazed by the Palazzo, as well as Vegas generally.
Been an ambition of mine to play in the Seniors event at the WSOP for a while, and the Sky package just made it doable.
Yesterday was the reverse of the day before. Get to the money, lose a flip, bust. Min-cash. Rinse, repeat. Could be worse-at least I got to the money a fair amount. A victory in a £11 on Sky meant it was a break-even day.
Names of the day? "BallsofSteal" on GG, and "WalterNitty" on Unibet deserve a mention.

Dara OKearney , recognised as one if not the best satellite player around, has a #1 best seller out now . Poker Satellite Strategy, highly recommend this for those that play sats, also good for understanding ICM .( available on Amazon ) G L in Vegas Phil, esp the seniors event , I love them . Cheers.
Just gone out of the £30k guaranteed in comical fashion.
Had a big stack, then lost a massive pot when AQ shoved on my AA. These things happen.
Bottom 5 stack for nearly 2 hours, then up to average stack. Exit hand. Me-JJ. I raise, call from BB. Flop 7 5 3. Villain shoves for 2 x pot- with A9. Turn 4, river 2. GG me.
So-while sulking, joke of the day.
Went to a stag night the other day-hypnotist there. Gets the old watch out, puts 7 guys under the fluence. Instructs them all to strip naked. Then-oh, dear. Hypnotist accidentally dropped the watch on his big toe, and said "f-ck me".
What happened next is going to haunt me for some time...
In dog news, woke up at 6:30 to sound of dog yakking up a treat that he hadn't bothered to chew yesterday.
Finished the clean up operation to find dog upside down, legs in the air, fast asleep. Snoring. On my pillow. Deep joy.
Still, at least I've got the Brexit thread update to look forward to. Now, I know, I'm perceptive. Tell me-do you sometimes think that maybe, just maybe, @Haysie does not support Brexit?

Sure my head is big enough already
Lag on PC meant that I had to drop playing on my usual 5 sites down to 3.
Small loss on Sky, offset by small profit on Coral.
Took down a MTT on Unibet for 1000 Eurines. Happy days.

Ha, love those 2 aliases. I do like a good alias, though not so much the rude or double intendre ones.
