They havent though, they are already set up for season 25. Amanda Burton is back, having been missing since 2004. How did it take them 20 odd years to get their company cars? Why has Nicky suddenly stooped to going off on one night stands with toy boys? Jack needs to shape up, it has taken him nine seasons to finally kiss Nicky? How could they solve all their cases over 23 years without a soil expert? How has the soil expert become indispensable in season 24? What happened to the lady in the wheelchair, she used to be indispensable? They now seem to be doing more investigating than the police. The standards are really slipping at the Lyell Centre.
Will there be a season 25 of Silent Witness? The good news everyone wanted to hear is, yes - Silent Witness will be returning for season 25 in 2022.
After the finale of season 23, it was announced that Silent Witness will be renewed, not just for one season, but for two.
If that wasn't enough, it will return next year for a special anniversary series to mark 25 years on our screens.
Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama, told RadioTimes: “Silent Witness entertains audiences from all generations and continues to be one of the UK’s most successful returning crime drama series.
“I’m thrilled it will continue to grip the nation in 2021, and can’t wait for viewers to see what is in store for its 25th anniversary in 2022.”
Just found this on Sky Documentaries a bit of easy viewing but with some fascinating stories attached to the people who have owned/stayed in some of the worlds top hotels.
Richard E. Grant’s Hotel Secrets is a high-end, luxury travel series that tells the fascinating, scandalous and often downright debauched stories of some of the world’s most famous hotels. Across eight episodes this glossy, often irreverent, series takes Richard from New York to Paris, London to LA, Vegas to Ireland and the French Riviera, all in the name of digging deep into the history of landmark hotels such as the Savoy in London, the George V in Paris, the Waldorf Astoria in New York and LA’s unique Chateau Marmont to name but a few.
Richard’s energy, enthusiasm, depth of knowledge and infectious desire to ask the unaskable has created a series rich in fascinating facts, laugh out loud revelations and top drawer names from Britt Ekland to Donald Trump, hotelier Andre Balaz to Salvador Dali’s muse, and top chefs, designers and hotel insiders.
Shot like the inside pages of Condé Nast Traveller, Hotel Secrets is a stunning blend of archive, interview and experiential moments where Richard digs deep into the psychology of what makes people behave badly in hotels, right through to learning how to lay a table to the exacting standards of the Ritz.
“IT'S UTTERLY FRIVOLOUS, BUT HE'S ENJOYING HIMSELF SO MUCH IT SEEMS CHURLISH NOT TO SHARE HIS GLEE.”
Gill Crawford Radio Times.
“RICHARD E GRANT'S HOTEL SECRETS IS PRETTY CLOSE TO A TELEVISION EQUIVALENT OF ONE OF THOSE HIP HOTEL COFFEE-TABLE BOOKS - AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A BIT OF VICARIOUS GLAMOUR. BUT GRANT’S PRESENCE, MISCHIEVOUS AND VULGAR IN JUST THE RIGHT WAY, MAKES IT WORK.”
This was wierd. I watched it on the Roku app yesterday. Its a free app on Sky. It is a new fugitive story, rather than the old one. Kiefer Sutherland stars. They were 14 episodes. Some of them lasted for only 5 minutes. It was confusing to see the opening credits appearing again after only seeing them 5 minutes earlier.
The McMartin preschool trial was a day care sexual abuse case in the 1980s, prosecuted by the Los Angeles District Attorney Ira Reiner. Members of the McMartin family, who operated a preschool in Manhattan Beach, California, were charged with hundreds of acts of sexual abuse of children in their care. Accusations were made in 1983, arrests and the pretrial investigation took place from 1984 to 1987, and trials ran from 1987 to 1990. The case lasted seven years but by the case's end it had become the longest and most expensive in American history. The case was part of day-care sex-abuse hysteria, a moral panic over alleged Satanic ritual abuse in the 1980s and early 1990's.
