I'm sure we have fairly similar taste in TV, so I often take a look at your recommendations. Looking forward to this one.

Won't watch Cry Wolf. Tend to use TV for Sport or Escapism. Child abuse and subtitles? Not for me.

Not watched the Bay Series 3 yet. Will do.
The Responder? Gave up after 10 minutes.
    Trigger Point? Excellent so far.
I wouldnt disagree with much of that.
Although I dis watch The responder, and thought it was just ok.
I am getting older now, and my memory is not what it was, so I much prefer the ability to download a full series straight off.
I dont understand why they allow this in some cases, but not others.
It doesnt really make sense in 2022.
All episodes of the bay are available on the ITV Hub.
I cant get access on my tv, but can on my laptop.
Although I am not sure why I cant get anything from the ITV Hub to actually play on my laptop.
I will have to look into in further.

As far as Cry Wolf is concerned, as you might expect from the title, there was no child abuse.
Thank God I wasnt a Social Worker.
Sky Cinema seemed to have stopped releasing the one "New Premiere" film per day.
Although I cant remember the last one that was of interest to me.
I am not sure that the Sky Cinema subscription is worthwhile for me.

There has been way fewer films released in the last 2 years. Something about a pandemic-I wish it had been on the news ;)

As a result, there is only a fraction of new product, compared to 3 years ago. And Sky want to charge the same or more for that.

I like Sky. But not Sky Cinema.

Thanks for the tip re free Amazon trial and Bosch, @HAYSIE

Really enjoying them. As someone who read the books first, they have been as good as I hoped.

Biggest plus point-the casting. Helps when the author is the Executive Producer. Bosch himself is different to how I imagined-a little too East Coast. But-much like Tom Cruise as Reacher-sheer class as an Actor makes up for that. Rest are remarkably similar to how I imagined them.

One minor niggle. Most episodes have a minute or 2 filmed in near total darkness, like so many US productions. Brilliant.

Most of The Wire cast ended up in Treme.
Have to agree here. However a related question in the same vein. What on earth possessed Lee Child to allow Hollywood's smallest actor to portray Jack Reacher who is 6 foot 5 and 250 lbs.

I refused to watch the second film "Never go back" after the glaring anomalies of the first.

As someone who has read and re read all, 25 to date, Jack Reacher books and yes I'm such a fan that this would be my specialist "Mastermind" subject, this is one franchise that fails to transition to the big screen with any real conviction.
    Today.

See if you can spot Lee Child in his little cameo, at the end of episode 8.

Author Lee Child ‘almost in tears’ because actress Willa Fitzgerald won’t be back as Roscoe in any future Reacher seasons

Netflix UK: Every movie and TV series leaving in February 2022

Each month, Netflix takes down a selection of movies without alerting their users.

This is because of licencing rights. As a consequence, films and television series hidden in the streaming service’s library are removed almost every day
