Walter Presents: Astrid – Murder In Paris, which is set in the French capital, follows young detective Astrid (Sara Mortensen) as she looks into some of the most difficult murder cases there.
Commander Raphalle Coste (Lola Dewaere), who is seeking information for one of her investigations, has no idea that she is about to have a life-altering encounter when she visits the police records bureau. Astrid is a gifted young person with autism who is a walking encyclopaedia of criminal investigations. She has Asperger’s syndrome, which makes her very creative and occasionally picky. The Commander is looking into a bizarre suicide involving a Colonel who burned himself alive; the complexity of the case necessitates a different method of analysing the evidence because it could lead to the incorrect inference. When Astrid lends Raphalle a hand, the two realise that their perfectly complementary skills—or perhaps even their differences—are the key to solving cases. The two work brilliantly together to solve even the most difficult crimes.

What is The House Across the Street about? The House Across the Street follows a lonely single mother named Claudia who lacks a close relationship with her son, Rhys, and is desperate for some connection.
When a local child named Emily Winter goes missing, she sees her opportunity to get involved.
Claudia becomes fascinated with the case…
She leads search parties, investigates the facts and even gets involved with the suspects!
The suspects include her ex-husband Leon, aggressive neighbour Dave, his overly-earnest wife Joanne, and finally the secretive new teacher George.
Eventually, Claudia’s fascination turns to a full-on obsession.
But Claudia doesn’t stop with the suspects…
She becomes fixated with dead Emily’s family too – including her grief-stricken father Owen, her cold mother Sabine, and her 12-year-old brother Dean.
And, as Claudia’s obsession gets out of hand, she ends up discovering a dark secret that hides in the house across the street.
It’s a tense and exciting drama, and we think you’re going to love it!
Character painting at its absolute finest! bosporan13 April 2022 From the shocking opening croc-attack to the finale closing credit, this is a masterclass in storytelling. A well-paced plot, beautifully outlining the setting and characters with natural, realistic dialogue.
Amanda (Nicole Chamoun) is a rash, resourceful, social-outlier, Ted (Thomas Jane) is a grouchy ex-detective, each is haunted by past tragedy. An odd detective duo that are like a bickering father/daughter and delightfully brought to life; they doggedly follow where the case leads.
Highly recommended, one of the very few I have awarded 10*!

Good-but lacked the humour of the original series. Still as good as anything else right now. Looks like it will be next year before Season 2 airs-bit of a spoiler that Maddie is in Season 2!
