Michelle Dockery: “I’d be thrilled to do another Downton film”
Downton Abbey is not something that I'd watch and as it started in 2010 and I'd never seen an episode proves my thinking. However and it's a BIG however, I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the first episode was being shown. I thought I'd give it a watch to see what it was all about, **** me I was hooked from the start, what a great series. I'd put it up there with my favourites though totally different from The Sopranos,The Wire,Boardwalk Empire etc. People f***ing up people ain't reserved just for criminals, I'm only on series 3 but so far it's great. Maggie Smith plays a brilliant character even though she's only a minor player. I should watch some more up to date series
Unlike the youngsters of today, I remember the pre mobile phone days, where everybody owned one TV. There were a couple or three channels, and no means of recording any programmes. The whole family therefore watched the same programme. My Mum was in charge in our house. That meant Coronation Street was compulsory viewing. As were things like Brideshead Revisited, and The Forsyth Saga. So watching Downton Abbey wouldnt come as a shock to me.

I thought this was quite good.
I didnt realise it was based on the first book in a trilogy.
I have posted the 3 on the Audible thread.
