You're spending a lot of money 'not playing' some events! Would you prefer to stick to the 22s and 11s rather than having to quit because of the swings?
Nice cash last night, some good laddering at the end there nursing the 0.9bb

PS - who wakes up with QQ there!
Thanks Mike. I will always try to sat into an event if I can. I will now though limit my attempts to do so. I have made it crystal clear so far how much I have spent so far, and will continue to do so. This is a warts and all (not a ) diary
My laddering 'skill' is my strategy when the win is virtually impossible. The play at that time was manic (due to blind levels), so I knew exits would come fast and furious. I am happy how I played in that stage of the tournament.
I was surprised as you that my QQ held up against your rag ace shove. You normally hit the river in that spot. Must have been a software issue, sorry.
Very 1st hand I played in the Mega stack. I actually turned away (went to get another can out the fridge) from the screen. Gotta hate love poker sometimes
Phew. I didnt manage to throw away my early chip lead in the Mega & turned a profit for the 2nd night running. I hope, like the country, my peak losses have hit.
I seem to do better in the later games when the ale kicks in. I might not bother with the earlier games tomorrow and just go the pub early doors and play when I get back. OH.
I have spotted a Flaw in your Strategy .... you're playing games you lose and not playing games you would win, let Alcohol play more he does better than you. cough!
5 days in & you are only (only?) £125 in the hole.
Would you have taken that before it started?
Genuine question by the way, not a dig. Even the very best players can drop big money during an online series.
Morning Tikay, I hope you and Gill are well Sir.
Only -£125. Would you have taken that before it started?
Absobloodlylutely. I have sort of set myself a budget for this but did not want to disclose it prior to the start, which would have put added pressure on me.
I still know that I am realistically going to 'fail' this challenge. Sky bet go bigger odds on this than having a MINI UKOPS.
I am just going to take it one day at a time and see where it goes. I will however quit if the time is right to do so. I also realise there are a couple of folks who would love to see me fail/make a big loss and jump all over that fact. Thankfully, there are a lot more folks hoping I succeed (I hope).
@maxally - avid reader. I really do hope you turn a profit. BUT, as long as you enjoy + its within your br, its win win. BTW how do you decide which ones NOT to play?

When does Mini Ukops start BTW?
Cheers,
Alan
I genuinely can't recall the date, but the weekend of the "Early May Day Bank Holiday" weekend might be the time. But I'm just guessing.
