Forget Partygate, the bigger scandal is the £4.3billion lost to Covid fraud that no one seems to care about... apart from one minister who dared tell the truth in a House of Lords speech - then quit on the spot

Theodore Agnew said 'schoolboy errors' had been made by the Covid loans scheme, such as bounce-back loans being given to more than 1,000 companies that were not trading when Covid struck.

Just want to give 1 example of how changes brought about by this Government have made things more difficult.

Court costs go up over time-of course they do. In line with inflation? Of course not.

Under this Government, Courts are expected to make a profit-not provide a service. To give an example:-

Court fees for suing a company for £100,000 in 1999:-£520
Court fees for suing a company for £100,000 in 2020:-£5,000

Same will be true for any amount claimed. Then there are Solicitor's fees, time spent by Civil Servants etc. People who fraudulently claim loans do so for many reasons. But the most common is desperation, and they have no money.

The sad fact is that, in many cases, it will cost more to sue than you will ever get back. There is no point (other than for vengeance) spending £100 million of taxpayers money to recover £50 million. Particularly when loads of Companies will be made Bankrupt, leading to further Benefits claims from the workers.

A quick question about the Downing Street Garden Party/Work event.

If Boris genuinely believed it was a work event, was it "bring your Wife to work day?"

A Boris under caution interview would be very entertaining.

A lie detector test would be more interesting and undoubtably off the scale.

Only Cressida **** could make this fiasco worse - she must quit, says ex-prosecution chief NAZIR AFZAL

NAZIR AFZAL: The point was proved yet again last week with an utterly inept response to the so-called Partygate inquiry at Downing Street.

Cressida **** faces a barrage of fresh criticism over 'nonsense' Partygate probe as ex-chief superintendent accuses her of throwing common sense 'out the window'

The Met Commissioner was accused by senior former officer Dai Davies of launching a 'nonsense' inquiry into offences that were 'not serious'.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Now it's Cressida ****'s turn to get the Line Of Duty treatment as Met police commissioner is mocked over Partygate by AC12

    https://video.dailymail.co.uk/preview/mol/2022/01/29/5917914709578108251/636x382_MP4_5917914709578108251.mp4

In a cleverly edited video, Met Police commissioner Dame Cressida **** is seen being grilled by Line of Duty's Superintendent Ted Hastings over whether the police force answers to 'our citizens, or Boris Johnson?'. It comes after the publication of the long-awaited Gray report into alleged lockdown-busting parties in Downing St was thrown into disarray when the Met Commissioner, who had long resisted calls to investigate, announced her officers had opened a criminal inquiry. The parody clip of the fictional crime show is the second to be created by anti-Brexit activist group Led By Donkeys after the Prime Minister Mr Johnson was edited into police interviews for attending an alleged 'bring your own booze' garden party on May 20, 2020.

That headline "catastrophe in cost of living to hit red wall" is important.

Tory MPs come in all shapes and sizes (like all other parties). But a major priority for all of them is getting re-elected.

There is a massive difference between older, more established Tories, and the 2019 intake.

If you have a seat in the affluent parts of the Home Counties, cost of living rises are important. But not the end of the road-of being an MP, that is.

Whereas, if you are a "red wall" Tory MP, who got elected on a "levelling up" manifesto, you are facing the prospect of having no job at the next election. Which is why that section of MPs want a new PM.

He is getting it from all sides.
I am sure it will get worse over the next couple of months.
The cost of living crisis will start to bite.
Those that currently still support him, will be less forgiving when they have much less money in their pockets.
Maybe the Sue Gray report will be published in full.
Interest rates are set to rise again this week.
The local election results will have a bearing, assuming he is still there by then.
I am not sure how the u-turn on mandatory vaccinations for NHS staff will go down.
I think I will probably miss the entertainment of MPs defending him with ridiculous excuses like, he was "ambushed by cake".
There will be more to come from Dominic Cummings, and Jennifer Arcuris diaries appear to be of interest to authorities.
After publishing the watered down version of the Sue Gray report, I think that if someone leaked the report in full, it would cause real damage.
As I think the public may see it as his attempt to conceal information he didnt want released.

And then 1 of 2 things happen:-

    1. A lot of letters go to the 1922 Committee; or
    2. The Tories get humiliated at the Local elections, and then the letters go in...

General blames troops and apologises unreservedly for their lack of leadership.

What did we do to deserve this pathetic little man.

Looking at it from a different angle, Labour keeps asking for his resignation but surely the last thing they need is a leader to come in and give new promises etc and that they've learned from all of this debacle. Labour should want him to stay so they can remind the voters and attack him at the next election on all of his failings.
