Are there elections coming up soon?

All smoke & mirrors, they won't be sending anyone to Rwanda.

I'm sure that is at least partly true.

But if we've promised to give Rwanda £120 million (for a trial!), that pays for a lot of smoke. Then there is the £50mill to the Navy.

Be cheaper to send these poor people to Eton :)

This Government does many disgraceful things.

This is very near the top of that list. Shameful.

More information has been revealed about this.
They are now saying that women and children will not be targeted.
Families will not be split up.
So those that will be sent to Rwanda, are some of the single men.
Difficulties in implementing this will include being able to prove the age of young men with no paperwork.
There is no doubt in my mind that traffickers will target women, children, and families in the future.
Single men will probably be encouraged to adopt women, and children during the journey to avoid being sent to Rwanda.
Boris thinks that flights will be taking off in the next six weeks.
This seems unlikely as there is a huge queue of Human Rights Lawyers just waiting to challenge the scheme.
Experts are saying that cases could be tied up in the courts for years.
It also seems that successful claims made by those who have been sent to Rwanda will mean that they will have the right to stay in Rwanda, rather than the UK.

It is the last sentence that is the massive problem for this Government.

People are applying to settle in the UK. They come to this country by perilous means simply because we refuse to process any application elsewhere.

We are not using Rwanda to process applications to settle here. We are refusing to process applications at all, regardless of merit, and forcibly transporting them to a landlocked country 4,000 miles away.

At least the last Government gave a huge illegal bung to Northern Ireland. Not Rwanda.

I am certain this will come back to bite them at some point in the future.

    It is quite breathtaking.

Our solution to people trafficking is...
    People trafficking.

These people are not criminals. They have broken no laws. We are not actively targeting the Criminals. Just the Victims.

At least in the 18th Century the starving got to steal a loaf of bread before being transported to Australia.
