This is a genuine question and not an inflammatory post, whilst I agree that certain websites shouldn't be promoted on the forum, one of the videos had exactly the same content as your BBC post (a car being attacked by a mob). If @VespaPX post had also been from the BBC would it still be considered inappropriate, is it the content or source ?

We just don't want to see constant content taken from far right websites, particularly as that is pretty much all that poster does. Posting content from sites like Gab & the like is simply not appropriate or acceptable here.

Gab is an American alt-tech microblogging and social networking service known for its far-right userbase.[2][3][4][5] Widely described as a haven for neo-Na zis, racists, white supremacists, white nationalists, antisemites, the alt-right, supporters of Donald Trump, conservatives, right-libertarians, and believers in conspiracy theories such as QAnon,[6][7] Gab has attracted users and groups who have been banned from other social media platforms and users seeking alternatives to mainstream social media platforms.[8][9][10] Founded in 2016 and launched publicly in May 2017,[3][11] Gab claims to promote free speech, individual liberty, the "free flow of information online", and Christian values.[12][13][14][15] Researchers and journalists have characterized these assertions as an obfuscation of its extremist ecosystem.[13][16] Antisemitism is prominent in the site's content and the company itself has engaged in antisemitic commentary. Gab CEO Andrew Torba has promoted the white genocide conspiracy theory.[13][14][15][12] Gab is based in Pennsylvania.[17]
Researchers note that Gab has been "repeatedly linked to radicalization leading to real-world violent events".[18] The site received extensive public scrutiny following the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting in October 2018. The perpetrator of the attack, Robert Gregory Bowers, had a history of making extreme, antisemitic postings on the platform, as well as messages indicating an immediate intent to cause harm before the shooting.[19][20][21] After the shooting, Gab briefly went offline when it was dropped by its hosting provider and denied service by several payment processors.[22][23][24] In 2021, Gab was among the platforms used to plan the United States Capitol attack on January 6.[25] Also in 2021, Gab suffered from a data breach called "GabLeaks".[26]
One more thing to understand is that the labelling of all the protestors / demonstrators / rioters as right wing thugs is frankly laughable. Some are, many aren't.
Most that I saw were 30 something, Daily Mail reading, semi detached owning males. Admittedly there were the usual mix of feral youth and estate Neanderthals but in the main most, if observed outside of the demonstration, would be considered civilised and urbane.
What the media fails to understand is that there are different groups within the collective and to simply label them all as X is not only misleading, although sensationalism sells papers, it's also dangerous.
The far right in the 70s/80s were depicted as skinheads all wearing Doc Martens, Ben Sherman and Harringtons over braces. Nasty, vicious, violent and anti Semitic and anti Asian to the core they were the epitome of everything bad, but at least you knew who they were.
The far right in 2020s are sitting around the breakfast table of their 3 bed semi in any suburban town, reading the Mail and scrolling through social media. They don't wear their ideology, they don't attend secret meetings, they present an image of a perfect middle class member of society. Until the chance presents itself to unleash their inner demon. But, and here's the difference, they are not necessarily racist, their beef might be any one of a dozen things from the state of the NHS to the loss of legal aid for divorces. From Council Tax to the Climate, Stop Oil to stop the boats. Any catalyst will suffice as long as it provides the means to take on the system and create problems.
A bit like football hooligans in the 80's when the Police took years to realise that they were targeting the wrong demographic thanks to the medias insistence that they were all boot boy types and not the good wage earning casuals that were actually running unchecked through the seasons.
Interesting to see exactly how the authorities combat this. Yes 24 hour courts and jail is an answer, right up to the point where the jails are full, then hello legal teams and prisoners rights.
As one guy said to me on Saturday. "They can't jail 1,000s of us, not enough cells, not enough officers, not enough money"
A #SkyNews correspondent was followed by a man in balaclava holding a knife after speaking live from #Birmingham. The man stabbed the tyre of Sky broadcast van but didn’t damage it, so the crew was able to drive away.

Not a "right wing thug" either. One of the locals who answered a call to "defend" the community from the threat of a right wing protest, which never materialised.
Strange how the description doesn't mention an assumed political ideology, race or religion.
Two tier journalism is now becoming a mainstay of popular media.
This has been brewing for years and it will always be here.
During my lifetime we have seen the likes of Teddy Boys, Mods and Rockers, Skinheads and Bover Boys all inciting acts of violence on anyone not in their Clan.
This probably is little different.
It all changed as society moved on and/or they all grew up.

This is Kristallnacht except it's the Asians suffering, not the Jews.

You've only got to look at this chap who would still be living at home with his mum if he wasn't in prison .
