I think i would like to see satellite-semis to be closed and only accessible for players who qualify through the earlier satellites i think this would allow a wider variety of players in the main event. the high rollers tend to buy straight in and the more competant players play for direct access, by making the semi a closed tourney the lesser skilled or learning players who play the cheaper games could stand a little more chance of qualfying. As it stands the semis are basically a direct satellite and the better players buy straight in which makes it harder for those who went through the painstaking work of qualifying for that chance, a much harder contest, whilst also leaving them at a disadvantage. Also like with the community freeroll you have 1 player with a bounty maybe you should add one in satelites but giving a wildcard entry to the main events that would be interesting i think.
A simple sound alert when it your turn to join the table would be helpful, at the moment we have to sit watching the lappy or miss out....one table at every cash game where you need to buy in full to sit....also the structure that was used to to win a set in vages proves we could have big tournies with 1k entry to have mega prize pools, there are enough people on the site that would pay 50 quid sats to go for big money finals, I dont play tournies because the effort to profit ratio is soo bad....most decent cash players wont take the tournies to serious at the mo, but....there is enough decent cash players who would enter tournies if the reward was bigger. if you look top left of window click options and highlight betting sounds and chip sounds that should solve it
Can we make sure that the price of the tourneys is commensurate with the value of the tourney. £5 entry for a £75 tourney for example is not good value.
id like to see a 9 or 10 handed mtts... short handed is fine but at times is pretty loose, as the variance sways so more compared to a full ring game... with the timebank i think this does need to be looked into... bubble play is bubble play but you do get players all on the same shall we say wavelength runing it all the way down... another site i play i wont mention the name has a good way to cope with bubble play... its hand for hand action.. so if for example there are 3 tables left of 18 runners and the top 17 get paid, a new hand wont start until the hand on each specific table is completed, thus eliminating time bank abuse and slow playing into the money, this then continues into each money category.. (this only applies to MTTS) so say the open pays top 70.. hand for hand action would take place at 61st position.. then resume normally till 51st.. and so on. it can also be a bit flexible by doing it a few positions earlier...maybe 2 or 3 positions from the bubble/prize tiers.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE TH PRIZE POOLS INCREASED AS THESE HAVE DECREASED OVER THE LAST YEAR Posted by RONALDO80
totally agree with u ronaldo....i used to do the 10pm £22 speed tourney £700 gtd last year... then it went down to 600-500-400-300-now its been revamped £200 freezeout?? unfortunately i think the standard mtts are being forgotten a bit and more commitment is being shown towards the DYMs and bounty hunter tourneys...
i really dont get this too be honest we talk of this or that to improve the site but if the tourney pays out past8 places u cant see them weird like cause theres a wasted bit of page at the bottom i did send to sky poker support they said we know and are dealing with it (ages ago) but the set up for chip leader is the reason i,ll be leaving soon example hes got 13k i got 1.9k i raise 4xbb (sb50/bb100)with AJ he calls with a 92 os now why did he call with 92
flop J25 i go all in now should he call here wi btm pair no ooo but he knows the system o yeah the higher on the leugue table more likly to do it too so anywayJ25 of course he calls turn 9 rvr2 any of his calls were wrong he played badly and got lucky but no we know better it ruins the game i see it too often at this and other sites too massive stack has A10 wee stack AKsuited now 3 outs yup u guessed i play alot like alot of plyrs am i the only one who notices this
auto reload to 100bbs on cash tables. Its frustrating having to type in the numbers manually when playing 8+ tables. Also flip both players cards up at showdown/when all-in. I guess HH's would be nice but opens up the site to pokertracker/HUDs which is bad.
I have an account here, but rarely rarely play, because the software client is so awful.
Excluding those who multitable, having a tiny window on a modern PC with a monitor resolution of 1680x1050 or 1900x1200 is just unplayable. The software needs the table to be fully resizeable and a lot slicker - it looks like it was designed in 1994. Whether that is via a downloadable client or a simple fix to the Java code is up to SKY.
But one advantage of the small resolution Java client is that it could be used on the latest Mobiles. A potential growth market is to ensure the client can also be optimised and is playable on iPhone, Android and the upcoming Palm Pre. Online Poker in your pocket from a trusted source could draw more people in.
Hand Histories/PT compatability/more variations/timebank changes etc are all good and well covered already in the thread. But until the software is able to compete with the competition you will struggle to draw in more people.

its true the amount of times it happens is rediculous if you were playing in a casino or live game the likes of pocket As for example would see the hand through not be called by 5-7 off suit pre flop raise and then get stung by a full house of 7s-5s still sore and totally unrealistic it never happens in real games.
Agreed the structures are too fast! 10 minutes blinds are ok but would like to see smaller jumps in the blinds... Played on Full Tilt earlier and wow what a difference, BB's went.. 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 80 / 120 ... something like that neways where as on sky it would go 20 / 30 / 50 / 100 / 200 / 300 so the blinds are more than double after 1 hour.... just makes all tournaments such a luckbox and removes the skill. Therefor favours the bad players!!
Faster refreshing of the right hand bar in the lobby. It's out of synch with the middle. For example, the middle will say 4 players are registered and the left will still show 4 players needed. A minor thing, but makes getting on a cash table at busy times harder work than it ought to be. Assuming that's a general problem and not just me, of course.
Also, a limit as to how long a player can be 'away' for in certain tournaments. Playing a Double Your Money with four players left and one 'away' and being unable to get rid of him because his automatic all-ins keep doubling him up, there's few things more infuriating.

I am quite disciplined at not drinking when playing, but not so disciplined at not playing after being to the pub!
Its either that or a breathalyser on the laptop lol!
