    In Response to Re: SPT 2009/10 - Post your Questions here, please. : Yah, posting the ROI's of every player that has played more than 30 WPT events (lol, sample size), then needling them is pretty classy.

    Yes, Little Danny, despite his crowd-pleasing table demeanour, does have a habit of courting controversy Online, this is not the first time he has done something similar. About 5 years back, on his Bliog, he got into a right hoohah, on a matter that had nothing to do with him.

    For that reason, & going back many years, I have never particularly warmed to him. But his performance at this year's WSOP-E, allied to the fact that whenever I stick a microphone in his face, either in London or Vegas, he is always very accommodating, has led me to think I may have been unfair in my original assessment of him.

    I know the prize money is paid into winners' sky accounts but..... is the 1st place presented with a comedy oversized cheque??  Its been one of my life's ambitions to be presented with one so please say Sky are adding even more extra value to 1st place with a comedy oversized cheque.  I'll gladly accept one even if it reads "The sum of Zero pounds and zero pence".

    As said by Flash, the "comedy cheque" will be in place for the Grand Final, but not the first five legs. We used a rubber one last year, but it bounced.

    But if it's comedy you want, you can always watch Orford play poker.

    There will be a trophy for each leg, and something for each finalist too.

    Just had a look at trophy which arrived this morning. Would take pride of place on anyone's mantelpiece-shelf-trophy cabinet*

    * delete as applicable

    We would have loved to come to Northern Ireland. However, as I've explained several times previously, there are no suitable Venues in Northern Ireland. Venues need to meet ceertain criteria, & I don't know of a single Venue in NI which would be suitable I'm afraid.

    I used to get across there regularly to play Tournaments, & I know the scene reasonably well - there's just nowhere suitable we could go.

    If you know otherwise, please let us know, & it will be considered for future SPT's.

    I now see the 112 qualifiers (so far) are now on a list in the 'special events' tab on the MTT. Does this means that there will be regular updates from Manchester on positions/chip stacks etc etc from the tournament on line on here?. i realise that the 'live' hands will not be shown but it will be interesting for a few of us who are not going to keep updated on the progress of this leg of the tour.

    There will be a blow-by-blow "Live Update" on a special Thread in this area of the Forum.

    You won't be able to see all the chip counts of all the Players, but if you are following someone particular, just Post on the Thread on Saturday - "how many Chips has Hoggers got, & can you Post a picture please" & it'll get a reply in 5 or 10 minutes.

    The Thread will be started by SPT Rich on Friday, I expect.

    Thank you TK. I wish everyone in Manchester good luck (apart from Mr. Fergie) and look forward to seeing events unfold on here.
