I have qualified for the Newcastle event in January, I havent been to a casino in my life and dont really know what to expect. How many players will be at each table and what will be the blind structure. As to smart casual dress code does a pair of dress jeans and a short sleeve shirt pass as ok or should it be trousers and dress shirt?

    Hi Bigred,
There are 10 players per table, with 5000 chips and a 30min clock. most casinos allow jeans and t shirts, but if your unsure contact Aspers Newcastle to see what the local rule is for them, i would also go to their site to pre register, this will save you a bit of time on the day. Plus on the day dont forget your id, a driving licence, or passport.
The tournament registration start at 12 noon and the tournament starts at 2pm.
The blinds structure was published in one of the Manchester thread, but it is usually in the email you will receive in the week before the tournament.
    Hope this helps.

Haven't played for ages, but watch channel 865 regularly.  Love the show.  Could you have more shows where Ed Giddens co-presents with the new females on the show.  His barely disguised displeasure at some of the girly comments is quite amusing.  It would help him with his poker face for live tourneys.

Can I change my poker name?
Want to play as CODZILLA instead of NEMESIS.  Originally shared this ID with my husband but I've got a completely different (& better) game than him and don't want to be tarnished with his brush.

    Denise Eve.

In the week after the event before, which is Glasgow on 8th May. Therefore roughly 10th May onwards

bit of an odd one but don't know whether should book an extra night in hotel or not...

With people travelling from all round the country and it being middle of winter and our countries lack of ability to deal with a little bit off winter weather (even though we have winter every year!!)

i'm wondering if theres a chance Newcastle may be snowed off because of "extreme chaos" with transport links equaling a low turn out on the day?.. or is it a tough luck you should have started walking new years day policy?

Hi, last month I won a seat for the newcastle leg of the sky poker tour. I was wondering if i am able to sell my seat as after looking at costs it may not be worth my while attending due to paying £100 for travel and hotels  ,If i do attend do aspers put on cash games , other tourneys or stts as i dont want to get knocked out of the tourney at 5pm and then be at a loose end for the evening. If so which is the best way to sell the seat.

    Hi Jinky,
You are more than welcome to attend any of the SPT events if you havent qualified for the main event as there are sit n gos and, if the particular casino has running, other events that are  open to everyone.

Yes it is too late now, but it doesnt stop you attending the event and playing any of sit n gos on the day when players are knocked out.
Sometimes these are more fun then the main event.
