Another day that could have been the big breakthrough night!
I started earlier than usual, at about 8pm instead of 10pm. Musta drunk a lot faster yesterday because I was feeling brave
The tables were great, and I was running pretty good too! I was coolering people left right n centre (see hand above)
I dunno what happened but I had a mad ten minutes where everything went wrong, I was outdrawn for a big 2xbuy in pot, then lost with AKdd on 99xdd K 9 against J9. sigh.
Decided to play abit of forum cash then return to 30nl after midnight, but at half 11 decided I needed food more than more ale so called it a night.
Solid yet unspectacular start to September, £90 withdrawn so +3 buy ins.

JJ great to see your back, nl30 after hitting variance thats where I will be for the next few weeks (not that its likely to do you any damage!). The standard has definitely improved on nl30/40 (lot more regs now) but I put a lot of that down to low player numbers over the summer most fish want to go and sunbathe rather than lose money at poker(even I had a break!).
One thing I would say about your poker lifestyle though and it has to change if your to make a serious crack at making a steady living out of poker is the drinking. There's two aspects of this, firstly no doubt gives you the confidence to play your A game and you almost build up to a crescendo where you are playing to your full ability. Then the booze tips you over a ledge, and you have in the past spewed a lot of dosh at higher levels. Going from a stage where you dont want to play me (Lolaments) to taking on Lolraise in his own back yard is a bit extreme!
Also you dismiss cash for points saying you wish it didnt exist. If you play any sort of volume (which is required anyway to overcome variance), c4p helps overcome downward variance but that goes hand in hand with playing pretty much every day sober and building up a decent stash. A good player should expect to win 8bb per 100 hands at nl30, or around 5bb per hour if youre playing 60 hands. That works out at £9 per hour. To make £2k (without taking variance into account) you are talking about playing 220 hours or 55 per week. Thats some serious drinking! But playing that amount would give you over 20k points which is pretty much another grand !
I have no doubt you can crush nl30, but this game is about volume, volume and volume in the longer run.

I still play other stuff on other sites, got a $850 mtt score last week, bout 400 books messing in sats and speed mtts on here since Aug12'. Can't rely on making $1k+ @ mtts all the time tho with my miniscule mtt volume, might have to look at playing the 8pms on here as they r super soft. The problem with that is I'd have to start sessions later, as I'd pass out if I got to the final table stage, also they clash with the best times to play cash
Maybe the £33 afternoon tournys r the way forward.

Speaking of mtts, I have played some rebuys another site. $3 entry unlimited rebuys/double rebuys and addon after one hour. The prize pool is gteed at $10k and constantly smashes it (there are several running thru the day). I have finished 10th, 13th and 19th in the last month (fields are usually 900 plus). They are 9 max turbos but it suits my style and im fed up of being donked out of sky mtts !
As for RVP, nah didnt take the tip, still struggling to come to terms he is scoring for fun at manure. If I am going to be brutally honest he is right about Arsenal's ambition. However, Cazorla is going to be a superstar, great buy!

I've just played my first comp of the day, the £3.80 sat in to the 5pm £33 freezeout again.
Managed to get there, after an epic bubble.
I was comfortable, and made a wreckless jam against an ultra tight player, which left me with 4k chips against 2x 20k stacks.
I managed to spin it back up to even stacks, then this happened.......
I was mentally fist pumping when I saw them get it in pre, I'd qualified!!!!
