good read rani, played you anumber of times on nl/4,and lost to you too many times.i know you will succeed at reaching the higher levels,it,s just a matter of time...good luck buddy.hopefully i won,t be too far behind you!as a matter of interest i,m having a break from cash playing dym,s 4 the last 3 weeks..doing well £45 up!so not in any hurry to return!cheers buddy
Not a very good day, getting beaten by everything - seemed like I could not win a hand oppo's turning up with sets, quads, str's, flushes on the river o well back to the grind, try and get it back up At least the hours put in got me closer to the 2000 C4P mark 17/11/2011 Starting roll £437 C4P 1237 - Current roll £430 C4P 1967 Posted by rancid
Could have been worse, nice recovery from -30. I should have gone to bed when i said instead of sticking around for the value that arrived and donating to your cause lol. GG
Great read Rancid. I can totally relate to your story – I used to deposit money into my account as and when I needed or wanted to with little or no consideration to BRM.
Similar to you, I'd like to get up to a level where I'm rolled to play decent MTTs but realise cash is probably the best way to get there – and least susceptible to variance – and I've always had reasonable success at it.
So, earlier this year I decided to deposit £25 and stick to a BRM structure, based on advice I have read on the forum. I moved up to NL8 after reaching £180 and now have £275 but am a little unsure of when I should be looking to move up again.
I play two tables at a time and had aimed to reach £300 before going up to NL10, which I felt was quite conservative. But, if I was to adhere to the ‘never have more than 5% of your bankroll in play at a time’ guide, I’d need to have £320 in my bankroll.
This seems to me to be extremely nitty and not very realistic for lower stakes players. Was interested to see what sort of BRM structure players at these stakes use or what others suggest?
Good luck in reaching the higger levels Rancid. Played you quite a few times and always found you a tough oppo!
hi rani.how did it go 2nite 4u on £2.25 dym,s ?i played 43 games...won 29 lost 14...profit £19.25 not a bad nite,s fun.great thing also is there just isn,t the same risk factor like there is in cash..ie.if you go all-in say with kk or even aa and lose(which does happen quite often as you know),the max you lose each time is just the buy in(£2.25).where as in cash losing those all-in,s can be alot more expensive and ultimately will to a large extent determine your loss/profit for the nite,i think!anyway, that,s enough from me so i,ll wish you a good nite and no doubt see you soon...cheers buddy i,ll keep in touch buddy,if that,s ok with you...present balance after 2nite is £274.92..total winning,s(withdrawn £300)=£574.92...started playing on line last summer
