Here is a good one for you TK. I just cashed in 7th in tonight's (ok, last night's) £750 B/H tourney. But amazingly, i did not take anyone's bounty/head. There were 81 runners in this tourney. So....the question is.. What is the highest placed finisher in a B/H tourney who have not actually taken any bounties? (and yes, i know it cannot be 1st place!)
    Posted by MAXALLY
I know 2 players who finished 2nd in a BH without taking a single Bounty.

One was Rich Orford. Modesty forbids me naming the other!

The Bounty Hunter suits some playing styles more than others. It does not suit me, that's for sure, but it's still fun, & it's still poker, so it's OK. I actually Cashed in one last night AND took a Bounty. Wow.

    Hi Tony,
    I have question.
Is it true that that front desk had to ask you to keep the noise down  when your shoes finally came off ?

Hi Tikay,  Could I ask you to take a look at my thread called "Thoughts on the weekend 7.00 Deepstacks" please.  I'm looking at ways to improve the Saturday attendance (last week 13 & this week 11 players) and am keen to know what you think of my idea. Many thanks Steve

I could name a dozen without even having to think about it. Did you see who finished 2nd in last weekend's £300 Deepie, by any chance?

On the other hand, if you asked me to name a dozen good looking male poker players, it may take me a while. ;)

No, & the clash with the Blackpool GUKPT won't help, either. I can't imagine the Main will get much north of 40 or 50.

I can't play the Main, as I'm working both Friday & Saturday.

I might be able to get across for Sunday's £200 though, depends on workload really. I won the £200 at the other Casino in Southend a month or two back, so a repeat of that would be handy enough.

Thanks for remindinmg me, & great to see you both last weekend. Might see you Sunday.

That would be 'he' - And while I'm here I might as well say my username rhymes with gadge, or a northern bloke saying badge (your pronounciation has been spot on on 865, but as for Orford...), I normally go by Maj but not a long enough username as I recall. There we go, cleared up.

    Friday - shifter1

    Saturday - EPWB

    Thanks for the reminder.

    Morning Tikay

Just a quick reminder to give Bernie a nudge concerning the weekend deepstack changes.

Just a thought, if you want all questions for you aimed at this thread, would it be an idea to get it stickered, as I found it buried on page 3 (no comments please lol).

    Hi Steve,

    1) Done - see the "Weekend Deepstack" Thread you started.

    2) Stickying the "Ask tikay" Thread? Nice thought, but I happen to be opposed to the whole logic of "sticky's". Basically, a good thread will "keep itself" on or near the front page by volume of Posts, & a less good thread will fall off. Applying a Sticky to a Thread does not make it a good, or interesting, Thread, though - it just holds it on the front page artificially. It also seems a little elitist, as other Members don't have that "privilege". But I WOULD like the "Ask tikay" Thread to remain a focal point for questions, so I'll have a think about it, & take feedback from anyone who can add anything useful to the proposal. We cannot assume, of course, that Sky-Rich would approve such a request, anyway. Thoughts, anyone?

Give it until Mid-November. If the thread is keeping itself on the front page of the forum then there is no need to 'sticky' it. If this is not the case, then we can vote on it?

Just to add to the "Sticky" Proposal, one problem we have is that the front page of the Forum is not very "deep", unlike most Fora software, so only so many threads will fit on it. Combine that with the incredible increase in Community Post-count recently, & it's true, stuff DOES drop off the front page quickly, & once it does, the thread tends to die. It's unlikely, looking at the software, that the pages can be "deepened", so it's a problem of the Forum's recent increase in popularity - a nice problem! But it adds fuel to your argument. Conversely, if we have 4, or 5, or 6 "Stickied" Threads, in effect, other Threads will drop of the front page even quicker.

A problem that Joseph Heller would have articulated beautifully, I fancy.

It's not in my gift to grant it a sticky Glum, that's Sky Rich's decision, so I'm not sure a Vote would be appropriate.

    Hi tikay

Just wondered if you have thought about when you will run the last contest?, as for sticky, well, I think that it may be beneficial, especialy if new forum users/new players who are unsure about poker related issues may feel more able to post in this thread if it is kept on the front page, and I wonder if altering the slightly to say something like general or poker qustions welcome, just a few thunks :)

Good Post Barry, & interesting thoughts there, thank you. Realy, it's one for Sky-Rich, as I've indicated earlier, & I must confess, it does seem a little elitist, which I'm not comfy with really. I come from the wrong side of the street!

Yes Barry, I've consulted with the Suits this morning about that, & got the go-ahead to do it this Saturday.

We want to link it to Saturday's new show - "MASTER CASH", as a means of stimulating viewer & Community interest in the Show.

It's really important that we give this Show a good chance to succeed, as we've neglected Cash Games a bit hitherto, hence why I plan to run the Competirtion with a "MASTER CASH" theme, or link.

I'll be Online most of Saturday, but will disappear for Rehearsals & the Show late afternoon, so if you, or anyone, wishes to help with the Thread after I go Offline, I'd be most grateful.

As this moment, I'm still developing ideas as to what the Competition will be (in other words, I don't know yet....), & I need to talk to the Series Producer, Ladies World Champess Ling, too, for her thoughts. And she's in America at the moment, I believe, back today or tomorrow.

Instead of having a thread in the General Poker Chat forum, you could have a separate Ask Tikay forum.

    All the best
