Hi TK. I have seldom known someone with such boundless energy as yourself. Do you take any vitamin supplements? I hope you don't mind me asking. x Posted by TiaDalma
GREAT question!
The short answer is......
Q1) No, absolutely not!
Q2) No, absolutely not!
The full reply will have to wait until tomorrow or Monday I'm afraid, as I need to get on the road now, I'm going home tonight, which is a 3 hour poodle up the M1, & I have an early start tomorrow.
But don't let me forget to reply, I love the question.
Hi Tikay ,i am going to vegas in sept and i am looking for some advice on some tourneys to play and some easy cash tables(need to be really easy lol) . I am going to play the $540 at the bellagio on the sunday but do you know any other decent ones? Thanks again for your time Neil Posted by BIGMAN790
Hi Neil,
I played the friday £300 freezeout, at 12 noon, a brilliant tourney,10,000 chips 45min clock and for an extra few dollars you got 2,500 extra chips. It took about 7.5 hrs to get to the final table but a good structure in a good poker room. I also found the cash games($1/$2) fairly soft in the MGM and they have some decent tournies. If you google poker rooms in vegas you will get all the info for Vegas.
After watching a re run of one of the tournaments you were presenting you made a comment about when to push and when to hold back and wait for a better shuving position. You said that you dont necessarily have to push when your down to 10 bb that you can wait till your as low as 5 if you dont get a spot with a decent hand.I just wanted to support your comment as I was playing in a tournament not so long ago and i had less than 1 big blind with 4 players left I was on the bb next hand and got dealt 7 3 off suit , the other three players who had about 10 bb each all called and the flop came 10 7 7 the turn and river didnt help any of my opponents and i ended up getting second in that tournament winning $220. I have to add I had just lost the previous hand with K K losing again for me I didnt actually let myself get almost blinded out. I would also like to comment that I watched a video of Andy Blochs and he also confirms your comments that it isnt always mandatory to push when your down to 10 bb although it is norm when youve got a decent spot. Just a quick update on how ive been doing since talking about my big win last year I have struggled for the first 6 months of the year but all of a sudden hit a bit of form and managed to win $5000 in the last month so things are looking up still got a long way to go though. All I need to do now is start winning on Sky but I do struggle on short handed tables with fast structures.
hi Tikay just wondered chap if you ever get or ever got a £ block ?? bit like a writers block when your balance reaches a certain point and for some reason you cant get off it . I set myself a target of £150 when I got there I was ecstatic but it just stayed at that up and down a bit but always at that level I know it must be psychological really but wondered if you or the Pros ever got it I know in your case it would probably be more like £150K lol But just wondered Cheers Dave
Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere, but last thursday there was no show on skysports, is this due to saving costs? due to it now being in 2d? or was it just a one off?
Normally when its a one off its due to there being a busy night of live coverage but there wasnt really anything else on.

Hi Gareth,
Three questions there, & the answer to each is the same - no!
Q1. No. Sky Poker do not pay to have the Show on Sky Sports, except of course the programming costs, which would be incurred anyway.
Q2. No, it was just the way the scheduling fell. (See below).
Q3. No, it was not a one-off.
The reality is that Sky Sports like to take the Show, but although there is no formal arrangement to that effect, they only take it on average 3 weeks in 4. I have no idea what Sky Sports had scheduled last week, but the scheduling for 865 to be Simulcast on Sky Sports is agreed about 3 months in advance, so last Thursday's 865 Show was never going to be on Sky Sports.
As it turns out, the Thursday Live Show on 865 will be Simulcast on Sky Sports 2 for the next three weeks on the bounce, which we are "rather pleased" about, as that's a step up for us, we are normally on "Xtra" or whatever it's called these days. Sky Sports 2 viewing audience is, of course, pretty high. Like, very high.
I am intending to go and play a live deepstack tourny at a certain Nottinghamshire poker club on sunday. Starting stack is 10k with 30 min blinds. From what I can see at the end of level 4 the blinds are still only 100/200. Don't do too bad in the deepys on here but would really appreciate any tips

.....Pray I don't turn up!
Good luck mate. The only advise I can give is don't 'dance' too much in the 1st 4-6 levels. Always keep an eye on the ave stack size and when you get deep (I know you have the game to do this) play a little more aggresive against the meduim sized stacks on your table and try not to clash with any big stacks there may be on your table. Always have a premuim hand if you raise up against a small stack with little or no fold equity.
I will expecting some tweets off you when you reach that FT!
I have today moved up a level for the first on cash to 15/30 Had really good session hitting some good cards. As i am still at the learning stage i checked my account. I find my winnings have been held for 24 hours. Why is this? My best ever win £86.00 odd and it is being held back Why??
P.S. happy birtday for next month, if you twiiter info is correct we were born on the same day
Weight, height, volume are all measurable quantities because they are quantitative but surely so should sharpness? Sharpness may seem qualitative (this knife feels sharper than that knife) but is there a standard way to measure sharpness?
I understand most profit is made in cash games - (tourneys 4 show - cash 4 doe etc ) but if I had a better record in DYM,s over a period of time would you advise me to play a lot more DYM,s even tho I don,t enjoy playing them as much as cash or MTT,s ?
Please put out a public statement that we are not related as suggested by some on here, can you imagine the embarrassment this has caused me as I hate steam trains for a start!

Hi Big,
Glad to hear the game is going well for you.
I'm very much out of fashion & out of step with the modern game, but for me, it's a cardinal sin to push too early in Tourneys.
It's a balance thing. The lower your stack, & the later your position on the Table (relative to Button), the wider you can push. With a bigger stack, you have the luxury of waiting for a better spot, or situation.

Remember you MUST use exactly 2 cards from your hand and 3 from the board.
Have you had a read on THIS, it's very useful.

Just quick question / sugestion,,,,,I used to enjoy playing in the bigger tourny's that started at 9 oclock.
Now all the bigger games start at 8pm
my kids are still up and the mrs gives me ear ache for starting a game at 8pm,,,, hehe they put me off my game ,, or thats my excuse !!
Why not start some of the big games at 8 and some at 9, I bet there is a lot of people out there in the same situation as me.
It was good to meet you again at Swansea, although I went out really early in the game.
Bye for now
