In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Hi Wayne. One of us is confused, probably me -  - do you mean Saturday 2nd Octobr, or Sunday 3rd October? If - IF - I am not working for 865 that night (be it the Saturday OR the Sunday) I will 100% come up to Halifax & join the fun, & bring a few freebies with me. I am working Saturdays in September, so, if Attila "rotates us" (or I get canned, you never know....) I MAY have Saturdays off in October (rota not issued yet).   All I can say is that if I am not on 865 duty that night, I WILL come up to Halifax to help support this fine cause. I don't expect the October Rota's to be issued for a few weeks yet though - I only got my September Rota last week, due to all the changes.

Wayne - I'm new to all this, ie posting, so please forgive me if it all goes wrong!

I'm also relatively new to poker but I live in Liversedge and noticed your mention of a poker night in Halifax - is that something I could get involved in?

If I'm way off the mark then please be honest with me - I don't wat to make a fol of myself!

    Cheers
    Pete

Is it common practice that the more experianced players become the more unlucky they become ?.
I'm becoming more and more chaved by some players making crazy plays and calls and hitting un-believable cards to take down pots.
I've prayed to the poker gods many many times but i believe there very busy at the best of times.
Please help and pray on my behalf.
Or maybe you could install a happy slap button to ensure bad call abusers recieve a slap around the ear every time they play insulting cards !!

tikay what do you think about a folded player stating he had a king when there are 2 kings on the flop with 3 players still playing and raising? pointed out to him i thought it was a bit naughty but got abuse.

    Hi Mover,
I can answer this, if you don't mind.

This player was/is bang out of order, if you are not involved in a hand you should NEVER comment on a hand in play. What this player has done, in my opinion, should result in a penalty of some sort as they ARE influencing the way the hand could be played. It restricts some aspects of the hand, ie if someone was trying to bluff the hand.
I'm not sure how it would be handled live but they should have kept their mouth shut and allowed the hand to play out.

    Hi FLASH

I dont feel this is a bad beat, you were behind to a slight favourite, and, the best hand held up, imo, AK is only A high, so only a drawing hand, whether you could have got from it?, its hard to say without knowing what the table was like, what the blinds were and what position were you in the hand.

    Hi

Unfortunately, it is something we all go through, it is called varience, I wish I could tell you how it starts, it just does, it also ends, when it is ready, the only thing I can say is, it does even itself out eventualy, if you keep getting your chips in ahead, you will start winning again, please pass these players onto me :)

    Good luck at the tables

Thank you for your input. Really appreciate it. I was also amazed how everybody else on the table did not agree with my complaints at the time. Infact they found it quite funny.
Think the site is great. Used to play on full tilt but in 6 months i dont think i ever played against the same opponents twice. Like the interaction with the tv channel even though i got slated on the 8k for calling an allin.
As much as it annoyed me i would not like to name the culprit but would hope he reads this forum topic and learns that it isnt the way to act.
    thanks

    Hi KaiQom

Welcome to sky Poker, and the forum, Good bankroll management, a lot of players will use the 5% rule, where they will not use any more than 5% of there bankroll for playing cash, or Single Table tournaments, or I will not use anymore than 3% for Multi tale tournaments, and never be afraid to drop down levels.
