    Hi Derk,

I dont think the password has been released yet, last week it was on the homepage of the Super Six game (on the left hand side, where they currently have the Super Six winners listed) and also on the Super Six facebook page.

Once you see players registering for the game have a look in those two places, if you still can't find it then please feel free to send me a PM and i'll see what I can do to help.

    Steve

rebuy's Why has sky started these? I play poker for fun, when you get a hand then hit the flop, get someone call you, you play good poker and manage to get there chips, they then rebuy again and again, Only to end up on the bubble as the blinds rise. The person who you managed to get there chips actually ends up coming in the money seems unfair, which was the main reason i stopped playing poker on a few other online sites and put my balance into sky. I'm now down to my last few quid and unfortunately even though i enjoy playing in the evenings, especially the well structured TOT and deep stack tourneys, won't be refilling my balance... If you could let me know why sky has started rebuy's and add-ons i'd be greatful. Thanks....

There is nothing wrong with the re-buy tournies, and it is the idividuals choice to, and how to, play them. If you dont like that particular format, dont play them. There are a lot of other tournaments of similar prize funds that dont involve rebuys. It does sound a little bit like some sour grapes, reading your post, I gather you didn't cash and a player who you knocked out and made a re-buy, beat you to the cash end of the tournie.
I was playing a £5 /£500 prize pool rebuy the other night, and I knocked the same guy out twice, he was also knocked out a further 2 times by other players. He spent £22+his original £5.50 (£27.50 in total) and still finished far short of the prize fund. All the rebuys do in actually build the prize money, so more to win for those of us lucky enough to cash. If you do play one of these, there is a different strategy involved, limit the rebuys to one (and re-buy before you get below 1000 chips it boosts your chips stack 3000+) if you need to, and or take one add-on in the break, even if you are chip leader.
P.S. if your bank roll is short try some DYM's to build it up again, they can be just as much fun and less pressure to play.
    good luck at the tables

What is your view as regards slow rolling an opponent when you have the nuts?

It happened to me tonight in the 'Take on Tikay' and left a really bad taste in my mouth.

It can't have helped that I was praying for a call to my allin bet thinking I had the best hand.

It was a limped pot and i called with K-J on the small blind. fold was KK5 i think. opponent bet, I called thinking I was trapping. Turn was ace. bet - call again. river was a jack giving me a full house.

I shoved all in on river(about 5000 chips). Opponent waited until timer had reached the VERY end before calling. He had AA for a bigger full house!!!! AAAKK to my KKKJJ!!!!!

How do you stand on this!! I went away more annoyed about the slow roll than the fact I lost the hand. I'm used to being on the end of badbeats - it happens all the time. But it' s even worse when you think you have the winning hand and I was only 10 places short of the money after playing for nearly 2 hours!!!! I would have had about 16,000 if i won the hand and would have been in great shape but that's by the by.

iv got 10 somthing suited spades.. i call a raise to see the flop..

now theres two 9's on the baord .. i push as iv got me flush, player calls, they hold poket kings..
the river.. one of the possible two 9's gives her a fh.. she tkes nearly half my bankroll. haha

Be careful with flushes and straights on paired boards.

He had to kings left to hit too......

If he didnt hit a 9 or a king, and your hand held, he wud be moaning about someone fishing for a flush.

    Thats the game fella.

    Play within ur bankroll ;)

Any advice gratefully taken on board.
Looking to set up a home game for anything from 6 to 10 players , lasting about 3 to 4 hours.
    My chip dom"s are 75x25 , 75x50 , 75x100 , 50x500 & 25x 1000 = 63.000 ish.
I know i dont have to use them all as less is suffice.
It was starting counts and blind structures advice i was after to fit this target ?
Any feed back would help my good sir
Or any other of the good folk out there

Thanks Kiwi...I hate wingers posting their moans and groans.. as far as I am concerned his post was more about being beaten and loosing his bank roll and tried to blame sky for the format of the tournie....

    Hi Drebin...
in short...you were the one breing slow played by the AA... unfortunately he hit an A on the turn... also with a hand like KJ...there are 3 points to make in this case 1. you were out of position, 2. by not raising you're asking for A rag hands to beat you and therefore with KJ either raise or fold. 3. getting near the bubble AA will sit there, not raise and wait for someone to raise, or call a flop they have hit...there is a fourth point..how many players..apart from real top players will put down AA.

why not just giv everyone 2000 starting chips for a set price (£10-£20+ whatever your budgets are) and set blinds at 10 mins...with one rebuy and one add on for the first hour (for the same price), take a break after an hour for 20 mins or so, grab a tinny, sarnies, nibbles and a cigarette or 2, at the end divi up between top 3 players... prize money split (10 players @ £20=£200)  £100 for 1st. £60 2nd and £40 3rd... the first out after the break becomes the dealer for the night. that should last the 3-4 hours you are aiming at and keep the game on a more informal basis, after all, you want it to be a good night all round without 'friends' losing their weeks wages. If it is a success you and your mates could take turns in  hosting the evening... each one trying to out do the previous hosts spread (food and drink)..if that happens then maybe the host gets a free buy-in..but still has to by his re-buys and add-ons.
    hope this helps... good luck
