TK - have you even been on the Trans-Siberian line?  If so, what were your thoughts on it? I'm of Russian descent, and was due to go there with my (now ex) Russain girlfriend about a year or so ago.  It fell thru due to a number of medical problems I had, but its still one of my ambitions to go there.  Just need to run deep in the Sunday Million one time?!

No. The nearest I got was the Moscow-St Petersburg line, on which, only yesterday, there was a quite awful tragedy.

Both Termini are quite extraordinary. When peeps get off the train, they just walk onto the tracks - at the opposite end to the barriers - & wander wherever they want! That'd go down well at Paddington. NOT.

And Moscow Train Station is known locally as St Petersburg, & St Petersburg Train Station is known as Moscow. Because the line goes there. Go figure. It gets well complicated at the Ticket booth.

Here's the reply I gave to a similar question I answered an hour or two go Mr Play.

This refers to TKO. I'm afraid it's too late to register for TKO now, but I gather there is a very good chance that a new version of TKO will happen early in the New Year, so look out for that. The winner of the current TKO - Team Tikay I expect - will, assuming Sky Poker decide to repeat it, take on a new challenger in the next Series, just after Christmas.

I nearly did this too, but it fell thru due to an ex girlfriend, as the Soviets refused to let a single 23 year old male westerner in their country (this was in 1989), after my ex decided that she didnt want to go on the train, despite it being her idea . Ended up going to Kenya and Tanzania instead and climbing Kilamanjaro before it became the fashionable thing to do ;)

Closest I ever got after that was reading the Big Red Train Ride by Eric Newby

Are you referring to Aspers in Newcastle? No, I assume if you bring your Membership Card for Swansea, that would suffice. Check though, as I'm not 100% sure - but that's what all the other Casino Groups do.

As a matter of curiosity, LCI-owned Casinos (ALEA's, Rendezvous's, The Empire etc) do not require Membership - you just walk in.

Huge fun, incredible luck swings (both ways), lost a tidy penny, sat with long-standing friends the entire night, wonderful. May Blog it up later. Played a Tourney, & then 4 hours of £5 £10 DC.

Despite what the blinkered Online grinders say, Live poker is the absolute nuts if you want to enjoy poker, real poker with real people. You don't get puerile name-calling in Live Poker, either!

Just penned a quick blog - "Lose some, lose some".....

Just a routine night of Live Poker really. I'll get back to the (hopefully) interesting anecdotal stuff in the next one.

    Hi Jason.

Welcome to the Sky Poker Forum.

    1) Cash games. Can you tell me a little more about what is going wrong at the higher level Cash Tables please, then I, or others, may be able to help.

    2) Hand Histories for Tourneys. I'm not able to see or access these for other Players, & if I were, there'd be **** to pay, as I play on this Site a lot, & I'd have "inside info".

    Not much help, am I?

I'll try & answer the Cash Question if you feed back to me.

    Ah  MR TK Sir,

Words of wisdom would be most kind, (and from any other kind soul)

Ok took up this game a few months ago  LOVE IT.

    Here's my strategy
I am reading every book I can get my hands on, love the maths behind the  game

I am using the DYM tables to build up my bankroll, that's going along fine.

I then set myself Bankroll targets, If I have a this much in the account then treat yourself to a MTT Bounty Hunter or the like.  Took a while but have just made my first couple of final tables on the MTT, came 4th in the £400 BH last night.

Anyway,  the Question ( At last I hear you all cry)

Is this a reasonable way to build up my experience and bankroll, or can you maybe suggest some other ways I can improve

Look forward to hearing your replies, or to be told to sod off and work it out for myself,  which ever you prefer

    Hi

Yup, its an absolutely acceptable way of building your bankroll, I would maybe suggets having a try at a deepstack or two, these are a very good way to learn poker, and the players will help you with your poker, if you have the patience, just remember that varience is a fickle thing and can easily go for you as well as against, so dont be afraid to drop down a level should you start to lose, and dont play above your bankroll limit :)

    Hi logzik,

Welcome to the Sky Poker Forum.

"The Open" is the generic Term we use at Sky Poker for our 8pm Main Event each night, though sometimes it's branded "Promo", "Bounty Hunter" or "Double Chance".

Tonight is a pukka "Open", it starts at 8pm & is £10 + £1 to enter, with a Guaranteed Prize Pool of £4,000. PLUS whatever Sky Santa & Sky Alf stick in the pot!

I'll answer the various questions tomorrow, "able" included, but I'm all-in for today, & I gotta drive home tonight, a 2.5 hour trundle up the M25 & M1.

What a grand night it was again tonight - that TKO thing is massive fun. And I fancy it's 2-0......

    Night all.
