    Hi Allan,

You need to take this up with Customer Services I'm afraid, it's outwith my remit.

As a general rule, if you don't turn up for a Tournament - Live or Online - you lose your money.

[QUOTE]Hi Tikay im new to online poker & i wanted to know is there any situation when two completely identical hands one wins & the other one loses
    Posted by geese

    Hi Geese,

I've had a gander at this, & the straight answer is no - because it's not possible for 2 players to be dealt identical hands.

But I think you mean, what if 2 players both get the same "hand" - i.e., both have Aces. One player has, say, 2 red ones, & the other 2 black ones. In that case, YES, one OR other CAN win - if it "four-flushes". (Say, it comes 4 hearts on the board).  It's not unusual for this to happen.

It can also happen with, say, J-T suited v J-T unsuited. The suited has an edge of just under 2%, so it wins about 1 time in 50. But the other hand could 4 flush!

That's a very interesting and often quoted statistic.
If we run those two hands through a well known card odds calculator we get the following:

    JhTh:    7.16%
    JsJc:     2.17%
    Split:    90.67%

This also tallies with my own personal calculation, i.e. the odds of making a flush with two suited hole cards is 7.16%.

In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Personally, I'd stick to Tourneys. But if you want to play Cash, remember that in Tourneys, you protect your "life" with your, err, life. In Cash, it's different, & you should have a bunch of pull-ups in reserve. So Cash plays much looser. By the way, I can't think of a single player in the world who is equally proficient at BOTH Cash & Tourneys. Decide what you are best at, & stick to that, imo.

Thanks Tikay, I will stick to Tourneys which i really enjoy playing, with a bit of cash play now and again for a change but nohing to serious, thanks again, The Mosquito.

I am making the right raises but being called by people playing suited cards who then hit their hands, three times in three sats. K's on the button i raise 3x he goes all in i call, he has 8 9 suited and hits two pair, next one I raise pre flop 3x bb, i have AQ one caller who is out of position. Flop comes down qs,4h,8h i bet the pot and he goes all in i call he has 9h,10h and hits heart on turn. I keep getting knocked out by these sort of hands am I doing anything wrong.?

In another i have healthy chip stack, low chip stack goes all in, i'm BB with qh,4h and the guy has just lost big pot so i put him on tilt so i call, he turns over 9c,4d. He hits a full house. This just happened(i accept that one) but then some guy calls me a bad player for calling was I right or wrong to call?

Am fairly new to site, have been member for a while but only started playing a lot recently, I think that I'm just having bad run but when it happenes three times one starts to get a little upset. :)

love the site by the way, only one i play now....

In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Hi allan Because you onlt sattelited, unfortunately in you will not get £32 pounds, you could however get the satelite cost back, alternatively, could could ask to be put into primo at a later date, whichever wway you choose, you need to contact Customer Care and explain what has happened, you can find the contact details on the left hand side of the page, below casino games. Hope this helps

Thanks Tikay for the advice on my recent MTT bad beat, out draws.
Took a week off, played small Cash, DYM & Sit&Go's, made a profit.

Luck is in this weekend, just qualified for Thursday 12K Bounty Hunter
through a satellite and then the Semi.

    Have a good weekend.

Nice one, delighted to hear it. There was nothing wrong with your play, or game, just Lady Variance having a bit of a strop.

Variance is moody, unpredictable, & does what it wants, when it wants. I'm convinced Variance is female.*

    Probably Barry, yes.

I really enjoy Live Poker, & Sunday is my only Option at the moment.

And next Sunday I'll not be going out to play Live, as it's the "Presenters & Analysts Bounty Hunter" on Sky Poker, so I've decided to stay in & play that.

I need a bit of time offline today, too. Tomorrow is going to be manic, as the new Website & Lobby should be released (the Lobby is stunningly good), as well as Omaha. It's in the nature of these things that there are often little glitches, & poker players being what they are, there'll be the usual moans & groans whatever happens, sigh.

Yesterday was "interesting", too. We had TWO Live Shows, minutes apart, TWO sets of rehearsals, & TWO Pre-Records to do, including the TKO Forfeit. And it falls to me to do the Master Cash Show Thread & "Make Your Play" Threads, as well as some TP threads & Posts.

I would not have it any other way, but there really ought to be more hours in the day.

    Hi Tikay

I've just been browsing on the community and have noticed people talikng about 'The Shed' free-roll being removed, and replaced with some satellite tournaments into the Primo, which you could buy in to using Poker Points.

Can you tell me where to find these satellites, as I have not seen any.

Thanks, and Happy Christmas to you and all at Sky!

Thanks swagger, & I hope you have a good Crimble, too.

I'm afraid I'll have to phone a friend on your question, as I don't know the answer.

I've had a look in the Super-Duper new look Lobby, & I cannot see the "Poker Point" Satellite to which you refer. But due to the overnight changes, the Lobbies are not yet fully populated, so perhaps it will appear later.

Sorry I cannot be of much help on this occasion - perhaps someone else can Post a better reply?

    Hi Logdon,

I have no intention of changing my Team - though when the next version of TKO begins, all Players will have to Vote again.

I have told them that I expect them to Vote to be in my Team again, or else....they'll be in a losing Team.

I fully expect Team tikay to win every series of TKO.
