Hey Tikay.. I played my first £33 quid bounty hunter tonight and come 63 place collect 70quid bountys on the way.. I had KQ suited and was 2nd to last to act I raised all in with it trying to take the blind down and the big blind call ed with kk.. On flop come 10, A, Q, so I needed any j or any q so roughly 7 potential outs.. If i had not got involved and folded I would of been in the top 50 a few hands later... Do you think I made a bad play or do you think I was just unlucky to run into kk??? Your advice is much appreciated..

Morning DKO.
I need a bit more info really - you don't say what the blinds were, or what your stack was.
Definitely a decent hand to raise in late position with, & if you had less than 10 or 12 big blinds, you cannot raise & then fold, so you may as well jam the lot in, though, arguably, you could bet less to induce a shove & then call. If you had 15 or 20 Bigs left, maybe it was a little early to get the lot in.
But you do not often walk into pocket Kings - that was just unlucky, or bad timing. Villain needs a big hand to call even if you only had 10 Bigs.
Your outs were irrelevant, really, as you were not to know what he would wake up with, & you were all in, but you did have some outs to hit, you were anything but dead, & any two cards can hit.
On the face of it, & without knowing your stack size relative to the Blinds - which is the key to whether you played it perfectly or not - the play seems fine to me. I'm never unhappy with a shove with any two, it's calling with any two which is the mistake many make.
Anyway, you made a nice little profit, & were 63rd from 505 runners, so thats a result.
I also note from Sharkscope that last weekend, you finished 1st of 500 (!) in a £2 Bounty Hunter - you don't seem to be doing too bad, then!
Hope you are enjoying it here, & the results keep coming.
just playin omaha and lost on a hand that i think i should of won i was dealt Qh, Kd, Jc and jS then the flop was Qs, Jd and 2d the turn was 8d and the river was Ad and i lost the other chap had 9d, 5d Ks and 10h im confused on how i lost when i had ace flush with king and he had it with 9, 5.

Hi Shane,
In Omaha to make the best five card hand you have to use exactly TWO from your hand and exactly THREE from the board. Different to hold'em where you can use any amount. You didn't have two diamonds in your hand, so you couldn't make a five card diamond flush (actually you couldn't make any flush with that hand). The other player did. Your best hand is a set of Jacks. The two Jacks you hold plus the J, A and Q on the board.
hi tikay been playing for about 3years after watching the tv channel and listning to the experts ive really improved my game ive finally started to win.ive been playing £2 buy ins at mtts an dym games ding well.ive just reached the surviour final an am really nervous an excited dont think ill sleep 2ngt lol. ive won a couple mtts but this is the biggest havr you any tips an hope 1 day to be at a spt cheers
on a 100bb cash table is folding qq ever correct pre have run into kk,kk and aa last few times. Each time i 3 bet and was then shoved on. I do not know if folding in this situation is in the long term a better decision. I am starting to think it is better to fold qq in this situation. AS the opponent will at worst normally have jj or ak and the other times have kk or aa u will lose against aa and kk most times and flip against ak. I mostly play 1/2 level so it is fairly aggressive but these spots keep occuring and normally around the button or blind on blind when i feel the players reraising range could be wider. I also hate flatting with qq are u set mining or trapping and u might end up getting outplayed. So i think with only 100 bb it has to be folded or allin pre.

I have been playing poker seriously for 6 months now and at the moment specialise in 'Double your Money' sit'n'goes. I split my time between Sky Poker and another site mainly because they do cash for points in sitngo as well, even for Double or Nothing.
Any chance this is promotion can be done on Sky Poker so I can move over fulltime and play in £s which I prefer?
Got down to the final 12 and busted once with 6 seats and £88 for 7th. Then tonight it was 5 seats and £88 for 6th and I bubbled the seats but got £88. I was 5th and shoved SB v BB (who was 6th), my K9 v QT, shocked he called, but glad to see I was slightly ahead, he flops 2pr and I don't manage to hit my gut shot
At least I got some money to fund some more sats... I'll get there!
Hi Tikay, I have another suggestion for you for a new poker Hold'em Game.
I have played this on other sites and it is a lot of fun! It is a version of 'Double Your Money' called 'Fifty50'.
For Example: - In a £7 game with 10 players. 20p is the rake leaving £6.80p per player making the pot £68.
After 5 players have been knocked out, instead of winnings being £13.60 (which includes your stake back) like a normal Double Or Nothing, the winners get their original Stake back £6.80 + 0.22p for every 100 chips they have left after the fifth player has been busted out.
So if you were one who hung on in there after a bad beat and you only had 1000 chips left at end you get (0.22 per 100 chips) that is £2.20p profit. Not much! However - if you finish with 10,000 chips (out of 15,000) you will win £22, which is more than 3-times your original stake!
Not only is it a lot of fun, it teaches people who are naturally tight player to step up and learn to be more aggressive if you want to make a higher profit. And the more aggressive players are rewarded as well. This also stops people who after they double up in chips from sitting out.
As you are in with the powers that be at Sky Poker maybe we can bring it onto this site.
Thanks for getting back to me, I had 10k and blinds were 1k & 2k . I thought I was unlucky as normally I am a good reader and tight position player... I was in bounty hunter tonight and got knocked out 2nd hand had AK suited and raised and then had 3 callers then on the flop cam A K 6 so hit two pair but the k & 6 were clubs so I raised and someone re raised all in.. I had to call.. They turned over j8 with the 8 being a club, then you guessed it runner runner club come down on the turn and river to give them an 8 high flush..
Yeah I come 1st, I was made up as I have only been on this sight for just about two weeks.. I play alot of face to face poker and never have online so I thought I would give it a go and despite what people say i like it.. I also come 10th in another bounty hunter with 500+ and also finished in top 60 of everyone bar tonight so hopefully I will keep having a good run.. I don't like leaving anything down to chance or bluffing with poor cards..
Hopefully I will do ok in this weeks bounty hunter tournament and maybe get a mention on sky which is why I come on this site as I watch the show all the time to try and pick up useful tips..
having a run of bad beats so im playing no rag hands still getting beat lo thats poker but how far down the scale of the 139 starting hands do you go before you are playing rag hands .top 20 or top 30 Had some fun out of playing thanks
Just me who thinks tonights show was pretty ridic. Only caught the last 2 hours , although tommy n james might have been having some fun. The show was by far the worst iv'e ever seen, turned off towards the end .
There are Hundreads of players that would love to have their play anaylsed on the show by the 'experts' , yet instead they show hands that they knew were played badly on purpose, as some sort of joke.
Also why on earth is there even a sitNgo player analysing cash in the first place, blows my mind. I wouldn't expect to tune into the F1 on sky next season, and see Andy Gray and Richard Keys presenting/analysing. Or see Jamie Redknapp analysing the Heineken cup Rugby.
Then to see James and Tommy, slightly mocking the guest in the chat box, and see James swearing, (when other players have been banned for this ), pretty dissapointing. I thought James Atkins did a great job under the circumstances and did his best to even analyse the "joke" hands.
Anyway, to sum up, pretty awful show in my opinion , others may not agree, but thats my opinion, learnt pretty much nothing about poker, other than the fact that some poker pro is gay, exciting stuff. Safe to say i will not be watching again.

Sky Poker has an intro to Omaha HERE
Hope that helps.
Just enjoy and play your natural game
