    Great read TK...

It's always good to inform clients about what they can expect from you (Skypoker).

I am looking forward to see these changes and have a look at the "Points Widget" in Brighton...

CU in Brighton...It's going to be tremendous....

Work-in-Progress     April   Connection Manager upgrade – future proofing Sky Poker and significant performance improvements across all gameplay.   Community (Forum) upgrade. This has not reached Testing Stage yet, & may be pushed back to accommodate gameplay-based enhancements which have a greater priority. Lobby Filter settings remembered.   Change of Betting Amounts in Cash & Tourneys to “total staked” as opposed to current method.   Synchronised Breaks.   May   Late Registration for Tournaments   June/July   Complete table redesign to include…..   Resizable tables   Auto Top-Up   Tile/Auto Tile   Preferred Seating There are plenty of other bells & whistles on that list, too, but currently, their release date, & or priority status, has not been finally agreed, so I have omitted them from the list for now.

The points widget looks great and works fine, a nice little extra to the site that makes it easy to see your C4P's constantly update without going through all of the my account options to find out.

    Well done Sky

I look forward to resizing tables, wish it could be sooner as I've waited a while for this one.

Thanks for all the information, looks like the backroom boys have and are working hard to make this the best site around. I understood most of it, and it might be a daft question, but what exactly is a "Points Widget"
    Posted by Kiwini4u
A widget is a small gadget that goes on your desktop - They usually do silly things, like tell you the time in Sydney and New York, or load up a sudoku every time you turn the computer on. Presumably, a "Points Widget" will go on your desktop and tell you how many Cash 4 Points you have, or something like that. Just a guess :)

    "Antes" ?
My Antey doesn't even play poker.........god knows what she's gonna think when I tell her she's going to be introduced :)

Now my MUMS a different matter, you can introduce her with pride...infact, she's always giving me lessons every time I go round there.........."I Told you to put your coat on"......."You shouldn't stay out late if you can't get up in the morning" "I hope you've learnt your lesson"....etc etc etc.

Now there's a lady who gives a whole new meaning to "Sort It Out Sky" - She can put the world bang to rights, i'll tell ya! and heaven help anyone who decides to have a moany woany whingy moment in her presence!

"You're cheerful Today Son?"  "I'm always happy Mum" .............Welllllllll Its easier than gettin! a clip round the ear hole anyway I say (Don't tell her I said that btw)

Anyway thanks for the update about the updates Tikay - Keep Smiling or i'll send me mum round, capish? :)

Thanks Tikay, this looks like an excellent list of changes to improve the site.  I plan to play all my poker on this site once resizeable tables are introduced. Are there any plans for Ipad / Mobile gaming platform for sky poker? Keep up the good work Sky!

Yes, sort of. I think "widget" is perhaps a bit of artistic licence, but this thingie will sit on your Sky Poker Home Page, permanently.

It is a sort of horizontel barometer, & it displays on one side how many C4P you have, & on the other side, how much cash those points are worth, together with how many days are left in the current C4P period. It updates in real time, too, so is permanently visible, & up to date.

Anyway, enough with the teasing, hopefully it wlil be fully released to everyone very shortly.

Just a couple of questions, to what sounds like some excellent work going on in the background.

      1. I know it is hard to commit to timescales but are we saying that roughly, round about, approximately, give or take a month or two, we are looking at a completely new system in lateish June / July or round about then.

     2. When we move to the new platform will it be SKY's intentions to remain HUD free, please say yes.

     3. Will we be able to load our own avatar pictures on to the new platform, does help me remeber a player.

     4. Will I win more on the new platform.

     5. There was talk and has been a trial, I believe, of showing nearly live hands on SKY PokerTV throughout the day, any news.

     Keep up the good work.

No response to Antes Tikay?, think you may have missed it as it was on the first page

Means those tight players have to learn to play a bit more :) would be good IMO

    Thanks Mr T.

    In order......

    1) All being well, yes, but that is a target date, not a committment. Anyone who has experience in IT will readily know that it would be foolish to say otherwise. And if we did, & the date was missed, my eyes would be red raw from fingers poked in them, you know how it is. It is on schedule so far though, & the progrmme has been in progress for a while without slippage. Personally, I would rather add a bit to the target.

    2) Yes, absolutely.

    3) I don't know. I expect so, but I'll ask.

    4) Difficult things take time, the impossible a little longer.

    5) Yes, that remains the plan, but 865 has had its hands full with other stuff of late.

    Yo Solly.

What precisely do you mean by "personalised bet size buttons"?

Let me know, please, or come see me in Brigton on Saturday, & we can talk about it.

I imagine they will be in their rightful place in the list of priorities.

    Mr Teeks,

thats a nice swerve, as you havent really given me any idea :(

I have seen a picture of the new widget, looks good but i dont see how that can be classed more important than antes and i dont think any serious player would say it is. The thing is you can get your C4P up easy enough, so surely ANTES are going to be higher priority, it looks good but as i say its not nevessarily more important then some of the other changes. Or is it being dealt with based on how easy it is to do?

    Regards
    John

You can't mid-cash-session, they don't add to your account page until you stand.

Hopefully this "widget" will update ALL points in real time??
