In Response to Re: Nick Pryce, New Blog 30th May : Why do you feel the need to deprive people interested in poker the chance to read an interesting blog about how a player "became pro " ? Publie ridiculie lol ??? , one person expressing his opinion .  I bet Joey Barton wishes this was public ridicule .

Nobody is denying you the right to read it, if indeed your ability to read and understand what i am saying?

This forum is not the place for said article, end of!! Nobody can argue that, LEGALLY!

    LEGALLY!

However if you wish to subscribe to nick through his twitter or facebook, i am sure you can continue to follow the meteric rise of a pro to become a future legend.

We will fail to agree on this, so i bid you farewell.

Eventually only the lunatics will remain in the asylum apparently ;)

In Response to Re: Nick Pryce, New Blog 30th May : He is perfectly able to reply on the blog, which is linked on this forum. Everyone would read the comment on the blog. I understand perhaps you are not my biggest fan, and yes Ed is from the telly and it must make you feel great to be 'friends' with him and side with him. I'm very sorry I told the truth about your pals contribution to my Total Player experience.

Well you might not believe it but earlier tonight was the first time I have ever spoken to Ed.

This has nothing to do with being a fan of yours or anybody elses. It has everything to do with critical posts made on this forum where the target of that criticism has no right of reply on this forum.

If you have issues with his contribution to your TP experience, you should take them up with him or with Sky if you feel hard done by. Far better players than you didn't make it through to the TP final but I don't see them complaining that it was all someone elses fault.

Sort your differences out with Ed one to one. Slinging mud on a public forum won't do you any favours.

In Response to Re: Nick Pryce, New Blog 30th May : Have you thought about why I wrote what I did? Did I have any reason to other than it's the complete truth? Is it a disgrace to speak the truth about being treated that way by a 'well respected former employee'? Do you think that if he treats people this way then it's fair if one of the affected persons can write about that?  To be completely honest, I think it's a disgrace the way he acted towards me and treated me on the Total Player show. For me to speak out about that isn't public ridicule. If you don't believe me then I really don't care, you may worship him as much as you want. I'll continue to be completely honest.

Nicholas dear, I am not denying you the right to say what you did, just that the skypoker forum, where he cannot defend himself also, is not the right place.

And tbh, the only sky person i worship is sir Richard obv ;) xx

In Response to Re: Nick Pryce, New Blog 30th May : Elsa, I have to stop you there. The blog is a public forum where, as far as I am aware, everyone has a right to reply. The subject of the blog was not brought here by Nick. I have no idea in regards to if forum privileges were removed and frankly I don't unquestionably believe anyone on the internet who claims to be someone else or acting for someone else.  You claimed earlier to have confirmed this by speaking to the person, when you say speak are you being literal?  Did you in person, face to face, speak to Ed and he confirmed to you he was responsible for every word claimed to be on his behalf?

The subject WAS brought onto here by Nick - in the thread that was deleted - that's what we were objecting to in the first place.

Whether you believe I spoke to him or not is irrelevant as his comments were deleted.

I think we're disagreeing on a technical point here.

My personal opinion is that having a link to another site on a page does not bring the contents here unless you misrepresent it.  If I claim a link is to some pictures of kittens and it's a link to naked ladies then that is wrong.  Nick has always said it is a link to a blog and it is pretty much understood that a blog will always be personal opinion.  And the fact you can comment there means the subject, in my view, stays there and should be discussed there.

However I completely respect that you take a different view on this matter and my Mod opinion is fully supporting taking down the link until a decision is made on it.

    Why not ?
Posting a link to his blog is breaking ZERO rules.

Why should i feel the need to make an account on either of these because a power mad mod has deleted the link to the blog ...

I'm glad you feel the need to express that anyone defending the link should be ashamed,  very mature i'm only saying .

And that matter is resolved, the link has been taken away and that thread is deleted, so can we close that matter now please? Yes we have a different opinion on the matter but I respect yours and hope you respect mine.

Also you have not answered the question I asked you directly.  If you do not wish to answer it then please just tell me.

So I have been debating whether to weigh in on this debate, but as someone who is totally impartial I will add my opinion. While none of you know who I am I have over the last few months been reading the forum everyday and have enjoyed the banter and sense of community displayed.

I have enjoyed blogs by many who have gotten involved in this debate as well as reading Nicks, enjoying them all. It saddens me that people who I have come to respect as prominant members of the forum getting so heated over this issue.

If im honest Nick is intitled to post his opinions, it is just his opinion of one individual and one experience. He didn't re-titled the thread he draw attention to a certain criticism and it is true that there is a comment function on the blog.

I generally believe there has been an overaction to this issue and I hope for the sake of friendships that people sleep on this and let it blow over.

I will continue to enjoy reading the forum on a daily basis and I apologise if I have chosen an imapporiate time to add my opinion to the forum.

    Regards

    Andy

I suggest you read the blog post again.

I didn't complain it was someone elses fault - I wasn't fussed on getting picked, I just wanted to learn as I was a much weaker player back then.

I have nothing to sort out with Ed, he was a bad mentor, it was two years ago, I've since become a much better player. I have nothing to say to him.

I chatted to him on FB although why you place such importance on that mystifies me.

You cannot educate those that are unwilling to learn.

I fear it may be another long spell before i frequent what was once a jovial fun place.

Oh to be so young, so cynical, so clever . i bid thee farewell

Then please allow me do demystify you.  You claimed earlier to have spoken to him.  Chatting on FB is not speaking to someone.  Anyone can be anyone on FB.

To speak to someone indicates a personal relationship and in this matter that claims the person is who they say they are on the previous thread can not be refuted.  I reiterate, you did not, in my opinion, speak to him.

Also, and I'm not just addressing you here Elsa, can everyone please continue this debate with respect and an open mind.  I know I am and I request everyone on both sides does so.

What your saying no longer counts as the quotes from the blog have been removed but use your imagination - put yourself in his place when they were visible to all.

Quotes can be made on the main sky forum seen by hundreds but you can only reply on some blog seen by a minority - hardly fair and reasonable is it.

You're doing it again - the man has no right of reply on here to your accusations.

What sort of moderation do we have here?

Do I have to litterally spell everything out for you?

The blog at the moment is in its infancy. To start it off I am introducing myself - letting the reader get to know me - by going through my experiences in poker. It starts in 2009, that post was from early 2010. Do you see where I am going here? I'm not 'raking it up'. It's part of a story, unfortunately it's an important part of that story.

I am completely over it now. But it would be frankly ridiculous to leave Total Player out of the blog.

I really hope this makes sense to you.
