yes, i must admit when i returned to NL4 a month or so a go. It has changed, alot. Not as tight and fishy as it once was. But that is probably something that can be said across the whole of poker. Poker is forever changing.

In Response to Re: Beating the Unbeatable - A Quest : Its been hard to avoid the regs & higher level players this weekend, I've had yourself Don and several other forum regs on my tables this weekend including a session with Dohhhhhhh today. I'm only up 1 BI this month so far, having lost loads running AA into 29os etc etc - at least you're not likely to see the regs turning over hands like that! Posted by clubhammer
sounds like your running bad atm. i have seen some tough tables over the weekend and ive been looking elsewhere, dohhhhh certainly didnt help matters earlier lol.

IMO you have to adapt when people like Dohhhh are around. Im happy to do this. Unfortunetly JJ knows me too well as was happy to snap me off light. The fish lol. Although this is because of how leveled i think pots can be between us.

I wouldn't really agree with this, it's not like I was playing tonnes of hands and trying to win every pot, I was playing the same solid nl4 strategy as you and Tintin and all the over regs probably try to play.
fwiw I was cascading my tables, I wasn't watching any of the action when I wasn't in the hand, and it was still easy enough to pick up reads/identify blind stealing spots etc....
Anyone struggling with mini view/space to tile on their screen should give this ago imo. Will be alot easier with auto top up though admittedly.

i agree about adapting when faced with decent opposition but you can hunt out value elsewhere. sometimes this is harder when there are more decent players around and at times they can be unavoidable.

yer i agree with ur point. Yesterday was on of my more difficult games, had a few bad beats and coolers which obv didnt help, but trying to bluff dohhh probably didnt help either.

In Response to Re: Beating the Unbeatable - A Quest : This is why i believe clashing with regs of similar standards at NL4 is a good thing when your gearing to move up. When I played through nl4 back in January I hardly played any regs at all. At the moment a table with only one reg on seems to be rare when I play. Are there less tables running at the moment?
Had a poor month at nl4 for May, but making a tidy profit again relative to volume so far this month.

Ive been able to avoid regs in recent sessions. Might be a time of day thing.
less is more. i played a few hours less than i have been over the weekend and im even having an early night by my usual schedule and im definately feeling better for it. today was a decent day, fairly steady throughout bar for a short session this evening where i got a little spewy. there was a pot i had with AK where it was cooler central. AK v AK v QQ v KK. it was messy and a rather large pot where kings held.
ive managed to bust thru the 1k point mark in 6 days which im really happy about, gives me a bit longer to play thru the 2k n 3k mark as these tend to be the hardest to put the hours in to acheive.

Very impressive Tintin, at this rate you could hit 5k C4P which is an awesome performance playing just NL4.
It looks like the unbeatable IS beatable (but some of us already knew that). Keep it up m8.

You are doing well TINTIN keep it up,interesting when you say less is more it could be the way ahead for you, good luck anyway mate. Posted by Spikelad
cheers mate.
i played more to the hours i am used to yesterday whereas over the weekend i added some extra playing time around the extra happy hours. i think those few extras hours took it out of me a little and led to some silly sessions. i think i know my limits when it comes to playing time now
