heres the hand in question. look at the showdown hands and what i binned on the turn and this was 4 handed. i'd love to know what the other player had.
i knew this hand would appear. not what you thought:) Posted by TINTIN
Haha tbh i think i played it pretty bad. my c/c on turn really is terrible. Not sure why but i leveled myself into thinking youd hit that flop huge lots of the time.

i almost timed out when it got back to me pre, i was involved in another hand on another table and this table never popped to the front, i was lucky to have time to hit the call button never mind hit the 2 buttons it takes to shove. it is a spot i'd be shoving a lot. think a little bit of lag saved me a stack lol

Going by this being my third biggest losing hand, you won it lol. Its kool wasnt meaning for you to justify your desisions mate far from it, i just thought it was a very interesting hand. One of the more interesting ones ive seen at NL4

i may have misled you by not replying to directly to a post. i was referring to the ak v ak v ak hand. sorry about that. i edited it now.
yeah the hand we played i wouldnt be trying those things in many spots against the average player and certainly if it wasnt heads up. i got lucky on river and didnt think i get worse to call me. defo leveling. as you said it did turn out to be an interesting one
heres a hand from this morning. think i missed out on value on the river. both of us are deep and i hadnt seen the villian do anthing out of the ordinary. im not loving the c/r on the flop from the villian and i dont really want to put all my stack in here at this point with an overpair. i shouldda took the villians bet on the river for what it was, a stopper. it still turned out to be a tasty pot but could have been more
Yeah I was gonna say that I'm really shocked you didn't just re-jam pre rather than call, but you've explained that was due to lag/being distracted. But yeah lucky escape and a funny hand.

Yeah the weird thing about that was i was just up when i commented. I went and watched some stuff i recorded on the TV last night before comming back on for my own grind while fast forwarding some ads, i thought ive made a mess of that, ive went and commented and hes talking about a complete diff hand.
Fwiw i dont mind losing to you expessially when the hand has so many talking points, when i clash with some of the other regs its just big on big. These are the kind of hands that will develop us for moving up the levels. When we get there.
QQ hand is a good example of the 'pot control line' I mentioned in the blog I wrote ages ago What looks like a massive hand (big overpair on a safe-ish board v a limp/calling range) shrinks in value when faced with the old c/raise.
I think with the combination of his turn check & river bet sizing, you can maybe find a raise on the river as he shouldn't really slow down on the turn with 44/77/TT which are the main hands we're concerned about on the flop. Also the river is a total brick
I don't blame you for flatting though, as at this level we still can't rule out weird 2 pair combos, T7/T4/74s etc.
Hand played well overall I think with your 'reads' or gut feeling on villain.
Note that he overvalues top pair will be handy in the future though.
Excellent. Good luck Mr Tin. Today's useless fact. I'm sure that back in the day there used to be a TV Series about a clever dog, called Tin Tin. Good luck with the Diary, and at the tables. Posted by Tikay10
Think it was called rin tin tin, about the time of bill and ben:))
How do you get so many C4P per day. I know im only 4 tabling so tht might effect it, but my record for this month is 44 points for a day. Rekon ill beat that today but probably still wont get over 50

dohhhhhh has it spot on.
in played for around 14 hours yesterday which is more than normal. i added extra playing time around the extra 2 happy hours that are running til tuesday. im gonna try an stick to the same schedule til then. im closing in on the 500 point toal just now, not sure if i will get 200 points like i did yesterday but will be close.
when ive got it in my head to play and play theres not much that will drag me away. i had to force myself to log off at 2am
hi TINTIN, as u obviously enjoy playing so much, wouldn,t it pay u to play dym,s as the c4p are so much better.? i think i remember u saying u don,t enjoy them that much, but i,m sure you,d beat them easy... if i can do it,...say no more. just a thought. :-) dev
If you could grind nl4 on sky 6 tabling, and be gnteed a fixed wage/hours (the same as your last job for the sake of the question) would you be happy to do that and stop looking for a job?

Even by Tintins high standards of this level, i think that would have to be a low playing job.

hypothetically i would rather play poker for 40 hours a week than work.
reality. even to reach minimum wage for 40 hours i would need to have a win rate of 50bb/100 hands on 6 tables. even i dont run that good

yes ive stated before i dont like dym's. i really couldnt see me going more than a week if i was to play them. i reckon at best i would be a break even player. i could honestly say i would be my own worst enemy. yes the c4p i could rack up would be huge with the amount of time i play just now but i reckon i would be relying to much on the payout.
as it is just now the c4p is a bonus on top of winnings. i set a target because i know how much i play and sometimes i like to push myself a little to see where my limits are.
never say never, i may try a serious session at them one day but i enjoy the cash games just now
