GL on the cash champ quest Dev - always enjoy reading your diaries and I'm sure this latest venture will lead to some more quality posts. I genuinely can't envisage how a person could play 10 tables of cash (a la supercrazy) let alone 18. Have you ever done anything like this before at the cash tables or only for SNG/DYM games? I'd guess you were getting up to that number last night when I was sat at a couple of tables with you, as even by your DYM standards you did appear to be playing exceptionally tight - not that I mean as a criticism because you seemed to be sat on a stack of 2x or more the max buy-in so if anything it proved that 'tight is right'!! If I can also sneak in another question, do you have to fit the 5+ hours daily grind alongside a full-time job? Anyway, good luck on the tables and look forward to seeing your progress in the points race! Mike Posted by shakinaces
hi Mike, ty m8, when i started on-line back in may 2010 i started off playing nl4 and steadily got up to 11/12 tables, which was all my old pc and me i think could handle at the time. lol i broke even from my play and built up my b/roll from c4p. then last march/april timr started playing dym and made a bit more money and gradually built up to 18/21 tables with a new i7 pc that i bought this year, from my poker winnings.
yeah, been playing tight but today opened up a bit and really had some fun.managed another win,so i'm a happy bunny right now. i was playing 9 tables last night and 9 again this session that's just finnished.(all the nl10 tables going) not so sure now about 18 tonight,i't's a big jump so might just go to 12 or 15. lol work wise i'm self un-employed as 'dellboy' might say. been window cleaning for the past 20 years now...nearly got the hang of it. lol so works well with playing poker,i guess. gl yourself Mike. ian
opened up quite a lot today and even did a little 3 and 4 betting. wooohoooo. good fun, certainly a new game for me but it's coming, slowly.
happy with another win.i'm sure there must be a brick wall just waiting for me somewhere around a corner... but atm i'm on the M5 heading north at 90 mph....sorry 70 if any police men/ladies are reading. next stop....'little chef' (only joking)
Hi Devon keep up the good work mate you are doing well. Posted by Spikelad
thanks m8, was until tonight...wheels come flying off. no worries though just a bad run of the cards.still no worse than playing dym's i guess on a bad night. dev
gl at the table dev plz dont stack me im hoping for top 5, really hope i make it. still another 11 days of non stop grinding lol fwiw, yes supercrazy is playing 10 tables. But they are a super nit so wontbe making as many pts as some others ^^ Posted by shaun09
hi shaun, as if i would. lol gl with the grind m8. i've given in already. i can't play all day and all night like some are and unless i 'm in top 4 or 5 spots i'm not interested. dev
(i did post up last night but my internet went down right at the finish,so i am re posting now.)
lost £49.68
cash b/roll £300.95 (down £12.67)
c4p 197 total 920
9 tables nl10 5+ hrs
yep the wheels well and truly flew off last night. all joking aside,i knew it would come and it was always a matter of when not if.
i got off to a bad start lost a couple of all-ins (i'll post up hands after) don't think i did a lot wrong tbh,and it just snow-balled(excuse the pun, with the weather atm) from there,i think. you know how it is...it's all 'chamagne and skittles' when u r playing well and running good, and a total nightmare when playing bad.,and running bad. still,i did win £20 in earlier session so it's only a 3 buy-in loss for the day, which is how i'm trying to now look at it. if i'd lost 3 buy-ins playing £3.30 dym's i wouldn't even bat an eyelid would i,so i guess now i'm playing with the higher £10 buy-in this will be a pretty normal kinda day,i'm thinking. hurts a little though but have to take the rough with the smooth, don't you.
given up on the 'cash champ' comp, not that i ever really got out the blocks. lol going to go through all my losing hands...all 9 losses over £3 aaaagh, and see what conclusions i can make. it's still early days here so i musn't let it put me off, just got to try and learn something from it,which i'm sure i will. probably need to 'go back to basics'...again,as i'm sure playing 9 tables against all the regs, especially with the 'cash champ' comp going on atm,is probably not an optimal strategy for me. saying that,i am by no means frightened to mix it up with them or bothered about getting my money in against them,if anything,it's enjoyable, but i'm sure for the moment at least, the advantage is pretty much going to be with them more often than not.
" i might be silly....but i ain't that silly" comes to mind. lol
anyway, that's it for now. i'll post up a few hands.
gl to everyone, and to all in the cash champ comp. 'be lucky' dev
in one way im glad your not gonna 18 table cash now other wise you would be there at the top. haha the ladder shows your 5th any way? im putting loads of hours and tables in supercrazy is above me over took rancid which is a surprise. I work nights so i doing every thing other way around lol, hope to see you at the tables mate,
Dev, it's going to be hard for the rest of the month with the amount of regs around - table select and don't play nine tables. Your really asking a lot of yourself to go straight into nine tables of cash.
& yes having an odd -3 bi session is nothing
try a -5 bi session 3-4 times on the trot and that hurts

hi m8, yeah,it could be done for sure, but i'd also end up making mistakes and almost certainly end up losing money in the long run,as i did last month when going for priority, making only £20. lol gl shaun...i think you'll make top 5. dev
