Thanks Larson, It's tough for oppo there i think because he doesn't want to miss out on value from trips especially as it was a limped pot so doesn't expect me to turn up with something that smashes that board and although my check looks strong to you, if i led out big on the river that would look alot stronger i think but yeah i think once he is check jammed into has to reevaluate and know that a10 is going to be in bad shape alot of the time.

I'm always up for playing HU lol best of 5? probably a bit rusty at turbos as havn't been grinding like i used too, let me know when you fancy it.

For some reason my account isn't showing up my profit/loss from each table so i can't paste the normal way. After last nights games with larson my bankroll was about £1075. I played for a couple of hours 4 tabling against, was involved in loads of monster pots winning my fair share and losing my fair share, i'm playing a very lag style and probably getting myself into too many tough spots oop, one reg was donated a fair bit of the losses i incurred today after sitting to my left on two tables. I quite enjoyed the session even though i knew i was stuck i did managed to build some stacks back up after losing 3 buy ins pretty much as soon as i sat down, cracked some big pairs with suited connectors which was good. It seems as though 95% of the players wait for big pairs then barrell them down to the river and hope lol i just need to stop levelling myself into thinking they ever turn up with a bluff after firing 3 barrells.

    Bnkroll: £1,037.81

Cash 4 Points: 138.... is that decent for 2 hours of 4 tabling? not used to building points playing cash..

I know i have a laggy image but really i don't think the j3 is ahead of my range that often..

Didn't play anymore cash tonight, a friend was playing the rebuy so jumped in that and the mini with a few all in sats, no luck in any of them.

Having had a long think about how much i have been playng recently i have decided that in order to make sure i really put the required amount of effort into finishing my last couple of months of univeristy i need to have a complete break from playing any poker. So I have decided that the best course of action is to hit the cool off and come back once i have got my 8k dissertation out the way which is due in around a month, lots of other work to do as well so i can't really balance poker, doing aload of work and not being a complete recluse.

The thread will be ended for now, when i come back i will maybe dig it up again and go from there i hope everyone has enjoyed the read and gl at the tables.

Thanks Larson, my self exclusion has just ended otherwise i would of replied earlier. Poker will only ever be a hobby for me but i plan on playing loads over the summer akin to what would probably be considered actual working hours lol

I'm glad to say that the long slog of doing my dissertation has ended, i handed it in a couple of hours ago it is a huge relief, never worked so hard on anything in my life. Combine that with the fact my exclusion has now ended and i can play again it's a very good day.

I managed to get a 5.25 huturbo in just before i left to go hand it in, cudn't resist, it felt good to play again 30 days without poker is a long long time, wasn't as bad as i thought it would be but was rather distracted by all the work. I did still spend some of my downtime watching some poker videos and reading the forum etc.

In terms of poker plans i want to get back to playing alot of HU again so will be playing a mixture of speed, turbo and hyper HU games. I also wan't to put in some sessions multitabling cash so i can get used to it, probably more at 10nl for the minute just to get fully comfortable with me game and used to it. I will get back to reporting sessions etc as i like to be able to track and this is a useful way of looking back and guaging how my mindset and bankroll was like at different points, hopefully i'll be able to show some profit and put up some interesting hands, spark discussion etc

    Hey Ben!

Welcome back, good feeling now the dissertations out of the way lol

Is that you now finished with Uni?

After i played you, i went on a great run with HU games, one time i won 10 in a row, but the last week it's been a bit more volatile maybe only winning 50% at times lol

If you fancy a couple of games for a bit of fun you can give me a shout.

Good to see you back mate.

Not quite finished yet Larson, just 1 more essay and 2 more exams then thats it. I'm not surprised you went on a good run you destroyed me that night, turbos are a completely different game to when i was grinding them regularly a few months back so i can see how you would go on a heater than just breakeven, the worst spells are when you lose aload in a row which is bound to happen if you play them alot. We can play some games whenever hopefully i'll give a better account of myself this time.

    Session 1:

So i started off with HU which was really laggy because of the problems with the lobby and software at the moment, didn't go too well played pretty hurrendously think i lost like 4-5 in a row a couple my stack had been blinded down a bit before it even started. I decided cash would be a better option as the tables seem to be working fine, played the 2 10nl mastercash and 1 20nl mastercash, had a really good session which made up for the HU with a bit of profit. I Was up to 650bbs at one point on one of the 10nl tables which was good fun will post a couple of hands in a minute. Then finished the session with 2 5.25 hus to see if it was back to normal won one lost one but it was still a bit problematic, i think it's good that sky are running the big deal promotion but it would be nice to see something aimed at HU sngs at some point. Going to rest for a bit been a manic few days, will update if i play later.

    Starting bankroll: £1070
    Current bankroll:£1087.45
    Running Profit/loss from :02/05/2013 = +£17.45

I have no real targets at the moment, just wan't to consistently play well, make the right decisions and hopefully profit will follow. I will keep a running track of profit/loss starting from today.

This hand i particularly enjoyed, have history with oppo, they like to 3bet me alot.. pretty certain they have notes on me probably along the lines of awful/laggy station(which would be true). I'm happy to peel oop pre with sc, turn was a perfect card as i knew oppo expects me to bet all of my range to try the pot down so i wen't a little bigger than i usually would to make it look bluffy/attempt at a steal. Then i continue the bluffy/steal line with a slight overbet knowing oppo is definetly good enough to be taking note of the wierd line and play back at me, they tank jam and i snap it off.

    Thanks Daz.

My second session last night continued in the same vein as earlier on, cash went well i have been watching cash videos and trying to get better so feel very confident at the moment, i'm not sure if was just run good but hopefully i can continue to have good sessions.

HU form ate into all my profit though, i ended the night at around £1072 mainly due to rematching a person who i think i have a decent edge over at 10.50 turbos but it wasn't my night, obvious mistakes creeped in more and more as the games went on probably out of frustration. It felt like we would play forever i would chip away at them, then we get it in 60/40 in the latter stages and i just couldn't seem to take any down. Still thats the nature of playing HU sngs, just need to get used to them again after the break and also make sure i'm not making any fundamental mistakes that may be costing me.

So yesterday after hours of playing i ended up: +£2.17

I have withdrawn down to £1000 to give myself some kind of reward for finishing dissertation not sure what on yet though, as it was only a +£2 yesterday i will start the running total as from today as it's made easier by starting from £1000 for working it all out.

LOL you did a 8k dissertation in a month. I can beat that, I was at work, played poker most of the month except this week, and just handed in a 4k dissertation today on deadline day!

Having never done anything like this before I have learnt my lesson, they take a very long time, loads of research and that bibliography, which idiot made that up!

Last three nights ive been up till 1am finishing them off, then up at 6am for work. Time for a kip!

PS good to see you back. My MTT stats are $2.7k ytd but sng is pants, I am working on it.
