So, for total context, here are my full, complete Skypoker Buy Ins, between yesterday lunchtime,and midnight last night.
1.A late afternoon MTT ( three hours plus deep,I am sat on the final table,six handed,then this) after three and a quarter hours, of concentrated Poker,my ft exit hand, at 20.22 , 125,000 chip pot,I get it all in,I am 85% good ! and,exit,Out (again)
2. Straight after that, a £5.50 dym, I was aspiring to,’streak from one,to two ! four left ! Out !
3.After that, an evening,in at the deep end, and mtt, featuring, Matt Bates,lolollo et al,that mtt ,being the £1000 gt Bounty Hunter, which started at 21.30, and, as stated, loololollo on my table, from the get go,and until I exited, on me ‘right !’ we played for an hour and a half, 90 players left, loolollo and myself,same table through out,and BOTH top four,at that point.Because, I am now aware, thanks to chrisdonkb and miniman,that loolollo is one of The best, I paid particular attention, to loolollo’s play, and my own,how he got stacked ,and how I got stacked, ( will post the hands) and.. the most Brutal beat, I have suffered in 2020 thus far, in the context of, what this tournament meant to me….in fact, it is what ‘tipped me over the edge’ ….. and, there is a happy ending, which I will share with you.
So, the mtt,I exited,three and a quarter hours deep, final table, six left ,hand number 1449553017 , 125,000 pot, and yours truly, 84% good… guess the rest, exit
Poker, any two,can, and on occasion,will do.But,my Poker friends, I will tell you, what very definitely is NOT, no limit hold em, tournament poker, what it is not, is relentlessly, in the huge tournament defining moments and spots, is relentlessly being a mathematical HUGE favorite, and relentlessly, getting rinsed. I can send you my notes on Corey? ( @miniman88 ) My notes are -top class player but ALWAYS calls/shoves with A6 when he's got the RNG preset to a straight...
Could this hand be any more standard? It comes round to the small blind. He has 6 big blinds effective, so can shoe a lot worse than A6, particularly vs this player. Big blind gets lucky and has a better hand. Big blind gets unlucky later in the hand. The hands are reversed all the chips end up in the middle too, unless you are worse than I thought.
There is nothing to learn from this hand and nobody else here is going to do anything other than shrug.
I don't know why I even posted, surely there are better things to do.
