That shin injury looked dreadful, fair play to him.

To be fair, the tackle looked clumsy rather than deliberate.

    Watched Derby win last night
If Bournemouth are one of the top teams in the league it makes it so frustrating that we’re probably the worst Derby side i’ve seen in 35 years (Clough sides excluded)
Poorest standard in this division for years

We may yet go into administration. Players still not paid

    Shambles

    ....
    House move not so good
Melissa’s buyers pulled out 3 weeks before we due to move. Bastards..

House is still on. Sellers have given us 4 weeks to find a new buyer. It’s possible

    ....

Poker is trundling along reasonably well
Up around £400 for the month so far playing pretty much only Dyms

    ....
Thought we’d found a new golf trip. Saunton and Royal North Devon for £100. Just seen it’s foursomes though. Not sure it’s worth it for just that. A long way to go for essentially one round

    .....
Get to have Harry overnight for the first time in a very long time next weekend. Penny has had both doses of the vaccine and i’m off the week before so won’t be going out
    Very happy about that

Bad news on the house move, as I am going through process it’s always a worry until it’s all signed and sealed.
What was their reason? Never understand how you can get so far and then change your mind.
Good Luck finding a new buyer.

The sale of our house fell through too.

Buyers wanted us to pay for an independent investigation into a leak that is getting fixed by the builders of the estate. They had already tried using a valuation from a not so independent "freind of the family" in a RICS report to haggle with us.

Basically 5 months down the line and having to start again.

At least now we can use a cheaper estate agent and also next door just sold for £6k more than what we had agreed with the buyers so it's not all doom and gloom!

Best of luck Paul, hope you sort it.

    Thank you
She had a viewing today that went very well. So, hopefully they’ll offer

    No reason given

Got lucky today and won a seat into SPT.
I have little chance as I’m aware you have to a very good player to win an SPT!

I may miss a little of it early on (Don’t shout at me @waller02 ) as it just so happens that I have Harry for the first time since November tomorrow night. With the structure being so good it should be ok and I’ll be able to get into it when he’s in bed.

Mels now had an offer of 2k more than she sold for last time, so that’s a bit of a result. It’s within the timeframe given to us so the house move is back on.

I had a bit of a shock today as I now have to complete on my house 8th to 12th February. Bit quicker than I wanted but it needs to be done.
Lots and lots to do so I’ll be panicking next week and I doubt I’ll get any poker in.

Played a lot this week as I’ve been off work. Made.... a fiver.

    Marv!

Hi Paul, hope you enjoy some precious time with the young man.
I had a problem many years ago when buying and selling a house, incredibly stressful. We lost our dream house, and ultimately our relationship, which was due to that in some part. I know the pressures and hope it all gets sorted.
Well done on winning a seat to the SPT. I haven’t played online poker for ages, don’t get the same buzz as from the live events. I would always do my best to attend and support an SPT, but not sure whether to stump up the money for the online event. A few different reasons, think I play better live, get time to think through decisions and I think I’m better at picking up visual signs as well. It will be a late decision either way . Good luck to you and all the SPT regulars.

Saying it takes a good player to win an SPT ........ surely that leads to a throwback picture and post of how it was done😉
