Fabulous test match I’m not at all critical of Stokes captaincy although he’ll get some flak. It’s the way we play now and there will be bumps in the road. Test cricket has become exciting again and we need that to preserve it. We were so close to winning and then he’d have been the here for his brave decisions.
Also we were dreadful for a long long time which is easy to forget. Now with our new approach we were bossing this match for much of it and this is against Australia.
This is very different to my first few years of watching test cricket. I recall seeing Chris Tavare and Tim Curtis opening for us and being 12 for 0 after the first hour
My hero’s at 9 were Bobby Davison, Bryan Robson and Glenn Hoddle. My sons hero’s are YouTubers.

I am. It makes feel very old when I Google their ages now. Bobby is 63. What a player. Found a clip where he scored a great goal. My first season ticket was the season before where we got promoted from Division 3. The very next season we went straight through the league and into Division 1. We’d beaten Leeds 2-0 the week before to clinch promotion. Beating Plymouth on the final day won us the league. 1-0 down at half time. Davison scored a 25 yarder right in front of me at the Normanton End and then we went on to win 4-2 I remember it like yesterday.
Bet your heart dropped when you saw the A - Q & 3h - 4h. That's so good it's always going to end badly. Love the old runner runner though.

All this time i've been ridiculing @TheWaddy and yet he was right all along....
It's possible i haven't exercised best practice when it comes to bankroll management tonight. Started with £48 and entered main, mini and 9&9. Currently i have just 29p residing in my account. I better do some wins

An ok night back at the tables Played and won a couple of £5 dyms. In both games players tried to give me their chips and, although it may surprise some, they succeeded. I’ve played a couple of mtts. I had regged a few more but couldn’t be bothered in the end.
5th in £2 rebuy for £26 and currently plodding along just into the money in a £5bh

Fans encroaching slightly and kicking one of their players as he went down the line. Obv solution to that was a drop ball. A few tasty challenges Proper football

Had to pretend to work today whilst i watched the test on my phone Another great days play Be quite nice if we could catch the ball every so often. Loved watching Wood bowl.
