Back to a harder sound today. the first 2 are from bands you may not be familiar with. If you are then kudos my friends. The last 1 is a classic of it's genre although the genre is difficult to classify.
Best enjoyed by turning the volume up to 11 and ripping the knob off, believe me your neighbours will appreciate the subtle melodies and captivating harmonies.
Heard this on the radio earlier it was one of my favourites back in the 1980's which then lead me to the other tracks another hour gone by on Youtube reminiscing.
Gotta love the Undertones and Fergal Sharkey is an absolute star. He's now a very loud and persistent voice against the pollution of British waterways.

I think probably the 2nd best punk band out of Northern Ireland after Stiff Little Fingers (Belfast) The Undertones certainly planted the flag for Derry.
The thread about greatest drummers sent me down a rabbit hole. Namely, for songs that helped shape rock and roll before it existed.
Both of these were recorded in 1950. The second is by a Band called the Soul Stirrers. Originally formed in 1926, by 1950 they had some young guy called Sam Cooke lead singing.
As well as Gospel, Blues was a key driver. The Dominoes "Sixty Minute Man". Most definitely not Gospel With Clyde McPhatter on backing vocals
