    Heeraat Newbury 17.15 tomorrow.

Developed into a smart handicapper last year, scoring twice at York and shaped much better than the result when fifth there when last seen in October. Should still have more to offer this year.

    Good winner!
Made all, driven and quickened approaching final furlong, won going away (op 3/1 tchd 2/1)04/5/13 2.35 Newmarket

    unplaced.
Chased leader, ridden and every chance over 1f out, no extra and one pace inside final furlong (op 9/2 tchd 5/1 in a place)

    29/5/13  8.05 Beverly

Developed into a smart handicapper last year, scoring twice at York, and easy winner at Newbury on return. Very respectable fourth in Palace House on latest start, and looks the one to beat here.

    2nd

Tracked leaders, headway over 2f out, ridden to challenge entering final furlong, soon driven, hung left and one pace (tchd 5/4 early)

    So Beloved Newbury 15.05 tomorrow.

Well-related colt who was impressive when beating Tawhid in the mud at Salisbury in October. Flopped next time after pulling hard, but appears to have been given a big chance by the handicapper.

    Unplaced
Held up in rear, shaken up and no progress inside final 2f (op 4/1)

    25/5/2013 Haydock 6.00

    Winner
Held up in touch, ridden to chase leading pair 2f out, kept on to lead towards finish (op 9/2 tchd 5/1)

    Glorious Protector  4.05 Newbury

Sales price almost trebled from foal to yearling and very much caught the eye when sixth in useful Newmarket maiden in September, not given at all a hard time. Entered for Dante.starstarstarstar

    13/5/13 18.20 Windsor

Has shaped well on both starts, still green and not knocked about when 2¼ lengths fourth to Cape Peron over 1m at Newbury last month. More to come and sure to be winning before long.starstarstarstar

    Winner
Made all, ridden over 1f out, edged left inside final furlong, stayed on well and in command final 100 yards opened 9/4

    1.15 Newbury  Royal Dutch

Rangy gelding who had plenty to spare when winning 1¼m Lingfield handicap in August, and better form when third at Kempton (11f) on final 2012 start. Should prove equally as effective on turf.

    No where!
Chased leaders on inner, not much room 2f out, one pace when hampered over 1f out, no chance after (op 7/1)

    16/5/13 5.55 Newmarket
Rangy gelding who had plenty to spare when winning 1¼m Lingfield handicap in August, and better form when third at Kempton (11f) in October. Not himself when well held at Newbury on return.

    2nd!
Held up in touch, headway 3f out, driven to chase winner over 1f out, every chance inside final furlong, kept on under pressure close home, just failed (op 9/2 tchd 5/1)

    Asgardella

Runs in the 3.05 Beverly (tomorrow)

Made winning debut at Ayr (7f) in August and good second in York nursery next time. Not disgraced in valuable sales events at Newmarket final 2 starts and remains open to improvement
    2nd!

    11/5/13  4.30 Nottingham

Won on debut at Ayr (7f) in August and good second in York nursery next time. Back on the up when second to Shebebi at Beverley on return, despite the 7.5f trip looking too sharp. Will improve.

3rd/4 Took keen hold, tracked winner on inner, pushed along 3f out, effort and not clear run 2f out, ridden to chase winner over 1f out, soon driven and kept on same pace, lost 2nd near finish (op 9/2)

    17/5/13  2.00 Newbury
Won on debut at Ayr (7f) in August. Back on the up when second in 7.5f Beverley handicap on return, and bit better still when third over 1¼m at Nottingham since. Remains with potential.

    Rivellino

    Runs in 4.45 Doncaster (tomorrow)

Made a promising start to career when 1¾ lengths third to useful Moohaajim on 6f Ascot debut in July, and off the mark in a 6f Kempton maiden in November. Type to progress again at 3 yrs.

    Finished 4th
Held up in touch, headway when not clear run and hampered 2f out, ridden and staying on well when hampered entering final furlong, kept on towards finish (tchd 10/3)

    Runs in 19.40 Kempton (08/5/13)

C&D winner on third start and well backed when only fourth in hot Doncaster handicap last time. That doesn't tell the whole story though as he was short of room repeatedly. More to come.

    WON!
Took keen hold, tracked leader, led over 2f out and kicked on, drifted left from over 1f out but well on top after (tchd 4/5 and Evens)

    18/5/13  2.55 Newmarket
Won 6f maiden at Kempton in November, and not seen to best effect when fourth of 12 on handicap bow at Doncaster last month. Back on track at former course last time, and still on an upward curve.

    No where!

Held up, ridden and not clear run over 1f out, never able to challenge (op 6-1)

    Starbright

Runs in the 4.40 Gowran Park (tomorrow)

Off the mark in 1m maiden at the Curragh in August and not disgraced in group races since, finishing 5 lengths third to Rehn's Nest on return over that C&D last month. Needs to up her game here.

    Quite disssappointing?

    Hanseatic

    Runs in 7.10 Windsor (tomorrow)

Has a smart pedigree and justified short odds on debut at Lingfield (1m) in November. Horse he beat that day has won both starts since and this opening mark could turn out to be very lenient.

    Result! 2nd

Took keen hold tracking leaders, went 3rd 3f out, went 2nd over 1f out, ridden to press winner and every chance inside final furlong, found no extra in closing stages

    11/5/13  2.25 Haydock
Has a smart pedigree and justified short odds to beat Rockalong on debut at Lingfield (1m) in November. Still green when narrowly beaten at Windsor last month, and sure to improve again.

    1st!
Made all, ridden over 1f out, stayed on well throughout final furlong (op 4/5)

    Mallory Heights

Runs in 8.10 Windsor (tomorrow  29/4/13)

Dalakhani colt who showed progressive form in maidens at 2, 1¾ lengths second to Ningara over 1m at Kempton in December. Very much type to do better still in handicaps over further this term.

    unplaced!
Held up in close touch, ridden over 3f out, stayed pressing leaders but hanging and not quicken over 1f out, one pace after (op 5/2)
    22/5/13  8.00 Kempton

Dalakhani colt who showed progressive form in maidens at 2, and shaped well upped in trip when fifth in Windsor handicap on return. Open to further improvement.

    Unplaced

Chased leaders, pushed along over 2f out, still well there when hampered and switched left over 1f out, kept edging left and stayed on again closing stages

    30 4/13  4.20 Bath

    Unplaced!

Chased leaders, driven to dispute 3rd from 2f out, never going pace to challenge, one pace final furlong (op 9/2)

    20/5/13 6.20 Leicester
Improved on debut when fourth in a C&D maiden in October, and found her stamina stretched when creditable fourth of 14 on handicap debut at Bath (1m) last time. Drop back to 7f will suit.starstarstar
    unplaced
Chased leaders, ridden and every chance over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong (op 14/1)

    2.05 Newmarket Danchai

Lightly raced gelding who couldn't have won any easier in weak Hamilton maiden on belated return in September. Not disgraced in handicap at Goodwood following month and drop back in trip should suit.

    2nd.
Took keen hold, held up well in touch, ridden and effort to chase winner well over 1f out, every chance 1f out, kept on but always just held (op 4/1)

    2.35 Newmarket Pearl Secret

Unbeaten first 4 starts (all at around 5f), landing odds in listed event at Sandown. Not seen to best effect in Nunthorpe final start and likely to be a big player in the top sorints this year.

    2.05 Newmarket  Rye House

Prolific family renowned for flourishing with time and distance, and left maiden form behind when landing Windsor handicap a year ago. Good second at Salisbury next time and better expected this year.

    17/5/13  4.25 York

    Winner!
Tracked leaders, pushed along over 2f out, led over 1f out, driven clear, readily (op 2/1)

    16.25 Newmarket Secretinthepark

Won above average maiden at Warwick on debut and looked a useful prospect when comfortably landing the odds in nursery at Kempton. Drop in trip unlikely to pose a problen and high on shortlist.

    Wjnner

Held up well in touch, ridden and effort 2f out, chased leader 1f out, stayed on well to lead well inside final furlong, soon in command (op 5/1 tchd 6/1 in a place

    18/5/13  2.55 Newmarket
Unbeaten in 3 starts to date, and found further improvement to land a 13-runner handicap over C&D 2 weeks ago from Brazen. Raised 7 lb for that, but type to go on progressing for a while yet.

    No where!
Chased leaders, ridden over 1f out, stayed on same pace inside final furlong (op 7-2)

    Russian Realm

    Runs in 15.50 Chester (08/5/13)

Dansili colt out of top-class Russian Rhythm. Shaped very well when 2½ lengths third of 13 to Flying Officer on 1m Sandown debut last September, nearest finish under hands and heels. Sure to improve.

    No where!

Held up, ridden over 1f out, not clear run inside final furlong, no impression (tchd 7/4 and 2/1)

    18/5/13  1.30 Newbury

Dansili colt out of top-class Russian Rhythm. Shaped very well when 2½ lengths third in Sandown maiden on debut last September. Better than bare result on return at Chester and likely to go well.

3rd! In touch, headway over 3f out, driven to chase leaders over 2f out, outpaced by leading duo over 1f out (op 9-4 tchd 10-3)

    The Lark

    17/5/13  2.00 Newbury

Pivotal filly out of a winning half-sister to Oaks/Irish Oaks winner Sariska. Improved from debut to win 1m maiden at Doncaster in October, and has plenty of scope for further progress this term.

3rd! Held up in last place, headway 3f out, driven over 2f out, kept on to close on 2nd final 110yds but no chance with winner (op 5/2, tchd 11/4 in places)
    31/5/13  4.00 Epsom
Out of a half-sister to Sariska. Improved from debut to win maiden at Doncaster, and shaped well when third in listed race at Newbury on return. Will stay but probably flying too high too soon.

    3rd
Held up in touch in last quartet, headway on inner over 2f out, chasing leaders when switched right 2f out, went back left and headway to chase leader briefly over 1f out, switching right and kept on same pace under pressure final furlong
