In Response to Re: Horses to follow 2013 Flat Season : Town Mouse 15/6/13  Leicester 7.05 No easy ride, but consistent in 3-y-o handicaps, keeping on despite hanging badly right at Nottingham last time. Drop in grade will help, and should be on the premises again. Winner Unruly in preliminaries, missed break, raced keenly, raced off the pace, headway 6f out, led well over 2f out, edged right enering final 2f, drew clear over 1f out, stayed on well (op 4/5)

    Town Mouse.

    14/7/13 Stratford 4.20

Fair form on Flat for Hughie Morrison, running out a wide-margin winner of a 1¼m Leicester claimer last month. Should be up to making presence felt in a race like this.

    unplaced

In Response to Re: Horses to follow 2013 Flat Season : Blessing Box 20/6/13 Warwick 3.30 Sister to connections' smart 6f winner Bounty Box. Signs of ability in maidens last year, and lot to like about her opening handicap second at Yarmouth 2 weeks ago. Remains with potential. 3rd. Pulled hard and prominent, tracked leader 4f out, ridden and hung left over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong (op 6/4 tchd 15/8)

    16/7/13 Yarmouth 7.50

Sister to connections' smart 6f winner Bounty Box. Promise in maidens and solid start in 6f handicaps but needs to learn to settle.
    Winner
Steadied in last and took keen hold, effort 2f out, soon driven, led final 100yds, just held on (op 9/4)

    18/7/13 Leicester 3.10

Well backed on debut when touched off at Ascot and went one place better in hot 1m Newmarket maiden. Minor setback earlier this year but remains a good prospect up in trip and yard in cracking form.

    Winner

Led, headed over 8f out, tracked leader until led again 3f out, pushed clear final 2f (op 4/9)

Still may be capable of better. 3rd Dwelt, held up towards rear, took keen hold, effort and not clear run 2f out, pulled wide, kept on inside final furlong, took 3rd post (op 7/4)

    Majestic Moon

    19/7/13 Newmarket 6.50

Won 6f maiden at Ayr at 2 yrs and seemed to relish faster conditions when making all at York last week. Escapes a penalty here so obvious claims.

    winner
Made all, edged right over 1f out, ridden out opened 9/4

Didn't settle at Beverley last time and not as exposed as some, but needs to pull out plenty more to figure.

    20/7/13 Newbury 3.15

Has made up into a smart sprinter, winner of 5f handicap here on return in April and done little wrong in better company since. Runner-up in a listed event at York last weekend and merits respect.

    Winner
Ledf after 2f, raced on stands' side and pushed along 2f out, quickened final furlong, edged left, ran on strongly (tchd 10/3)

    20/7/13 Market Rasen 1.45

Fair on Flat for Hughie Morrison, easily winning 1¼m Leicester claimer last month, but showed little aptitude for hurdling in Stratford juvenile 6 days ago. Has hood fitted on back of that.

Led round start, led in, ducked left, and unseated rider (op 15/2 tchd 7/1)

    I like the jockey booking!
Pat Smullen could have ridden for Dermot Weld but chose to ride for David Omeara.
I only hope the extra allowance the apprentice receives on Welds horse doesn't spoil your coup!
    Good luck Wynne!

Desert Command 06/7/13 Leicester 16.35 Looked green in trio of 6f maidens at 2 yrs. Gelded since latest start and appeals as the type to do better this time round, though will be of more interest when pitched into a handicap. unplaced   Free to post, pulled hard, tracked leaders, ridden over 2f out, soon weakened (op 7/2)

    Dessert Command

    24/7/13  Lingfield 5.10

Looked green in trio of 6f maidens at 2 yrs. Gelded prior to return, where he raced too freely to last home over 7f at Leicester. May do better, but others more appealing here.

Winner Taken down early, soon pressing leader, ridden and clear with leader 2f out, driven to lead 1f out, stayed on well, ridden out (tchd 14/1)

Starbright Runs in the 4.40 Gowran Park (tomorrow) Off the mark in 1m maiden at the Curragh in August and not disgraced in group races since, finishing 5 lengths third to Rehn's Nest on return over that C&D last month. Needs to up her game here. Quite disssappointing?

Off the mark in 1m maiden at the Curragh in August and contested black type events since. Possibly amiss at Gowran in April and not seen since.

Waited with in rear of quartet, some headway on outer over 3f out, soon pushed along and no impression, eased final furlong

Not matched it in 2 runs since and fitting of blinkers needs to have a positive effect. 25/7/13 Bath 5.30

Hasn't built on encouraging reappearance here (1m) in 4 subsequent starts, with a tendency to pull hard the main reason. Fared only a little better in this headgear combination last time.

    2nd
Tracked leaders, ridden to lead 2f out, soon drifted right, kept on, headed final 40yds (op 3/1 tchd 4/1)

Always held in high regard (short-priced favourite in hot handicaps first 2 starts this year) and it all came together in King Edward over C&D last time. Supplemented at a cost of £75,000.
