Rivellino Runs in 4.45 Doncaster (tomorrow) Made a promising start to career when 1¾ lengths third to useful Moohaajim on 6f Ascot debut in July, and off the mark in a 6f Kempton maiden in November. Type to progress again at 3 yrs. Finished 4th   Held up in touch, headway when not clear run and hampered 2f out, ridden and staying on well when hampered entering final furlong, kept on towards finish (tchd 10/3) Runs in 19.40 Kempton (08/5/13) C&D winner on third start and well backed when only fourth in hot Doncaster handicap last time. That doesn't tell the whole story though as he was short of room repeatedly. More to come. WON!   Took keen hold, tracked leader, led over 2f out and kicked on, drifted left from over 1f out but well on top after (tchd 4/5 and Evens) 18/5/13  2.55 Newmarket Won 6f maiden at Kempton in November, and not seen to best effect when fourth of 12 on handicap bow at Doncaster last month. Back on track at former course last time, and still on an upward curve. No where!   Held up, ridden and not clear run over 1f out, never able to challenge (op 6-1)

    Rivellino

    15/6/13  York 3.50
Both his wins have come on AW, but hasn't enjoyed the rub of the green in a couple of big-field handicaps on turf and still has a big day in him. One to consider.

    unplaced
Towards rear, pushed along and headway over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong opened 8/1 £4250-£500 £10000-£1200

Burning Blaze 2.55 Newmarket Looked promising when winning a 6f maiden at York in July, and bounced back when third in a heavy-grpound nursery there in October, despite finding the test too much. Gelded since, and will do better. No where!   Held up, switched right 2f out, ridden over 1f out, not clear run inside final furlong, ran on towards finish, never nearer (op 10-1)

    Burning Blaze

    15/6/13 Sandown 4.05

Looked promising when winning his maiden last year, and caught the eye when fifth in Newmarket handicap on return, running on well from the rear. Remains with potential back over 7f.

    3rd

Held up, headway entering final 2f, ridden to challenge leader just inside final furlong, not quicken near finish

2.05 Newmarket Danchai Lightly raced gelding who couldn't have won any easier in weak Hamilton maiden on belated return in September. Not disgraced in handicap at Goodwood following month and drop back in trip should suit. 2nd. Took keen hold, held up well in touch, ridden and effort to chase winner well over 1f out, every chance 1f out, kept on but always just held (op 4/1)

    15/6/13  Sandown 2.20

Lightly-raced gelding who couldn't have won any easier in weak Hamilton maiden on belated return in September. Shaped well when second in Newmarket handicap on comeback and remains with potential.

    2nd
Raced wide held up, ridden 3f out, headway over 1f out, chased winner inside final furlong, no impression near finish opened 5/1

Carried head high when third there on latest start, though, and isn't one for maximum faith as a result. 2nd Chased leaders, led over 8f out, ridden over 1f out, headed and unable to quicken inside final furlong (op 6/1 tchd 7/1)   29/5/13  4.40 Nottingham Improved form when just failing on handicap bow at Kempton last month. Carried head high when behind Miss Tiger Lily there next time, but did little wrong when runner-up on turf more recently. 3rd. 15/6/13  Leicester 7.05
No easy ride, but consistent in 3-y-o handicaps, keeping on despite hanging badly right at Nottingham last time. Drop in grade will help, and should be on the premises again.

    Winner
Unruly in preliminaries, missed break, raced keenly, raced off the pace, headway 6f out, led well over 2f out, edged right enering final 2f, drew clear over 1f out, stayed on well (op 4/5)

Tracked leader in 2nd, relegated to 3rd before halfway, headway to challenge between horses 2f out, soon ridden and led over 1f out, ran on strongly inside final furlong

Imposing sort who was unbeaten at 2, and most impressive winner of Craven on return. Failed to meet expectations in 2000 Guineas but well worth another chance.

Developed into a smart handicapper last year and an easy winner at Newbury on return. Didn't settle at Beverley last time and not as exposed as some, but needs to pull out plenty more to figure.

    20/6/13  Ascot 3.05

Out of a half-sister to dual Oaks-winner Sariska. Improved from debut to win maiden at Doncaster, and much better for return when excellent third in Oaks. Sets the standard on that form.
