    Hand 1 - Yeah if we were IP, I wouldn't mind the call on the turn cos we can let them bluff again and if they don't then we just stick it in, but OOP we'll have to stick it in ourselves on the river cos we don't want them to checkback. No biggie tho

    Hand 2 - I probably c-bet but your line is good too.

    Hand 3 - Probably a good fold yeh, hate raising hands like AJo UTG on a 10handed table (I still do it tho lol)

    Hand 4 - Good shove

    Hand 5 - 100% Ship pre. We can't ever raise fold, and we're not strong enough to induce, and I don't think we wanna be inducing from this stack size anyway cos we won't be balanced. We want max FE really, if shoving makes them fold 66 for instance, that's great for us. A 3x might convince them to shove 66.

    Hand 6 - Good shove

    Hand 7 - Yeah give we're so short AND we're in the BB, AND we have a pair, just gotta call it off.

    Hand 8 - Good stuff

    Hand 9 - Good stuff

    Hand 10 - Good but I definitely value bet the river.

    Hand 11 - A call on the flop is probably better. When we jam we get called by 5x and bigger PPs and fold out everything worse/stop him bluffing the turn when he misses the turn with AK/AQ etc.

    Hand 12 - what a life, easy game lol.

    I like your line here, but rather than thinking about opponents actions, saying stuff such as 'dont want to be put to a decision' and 'doing it for pot control', think of it in terms of his range of hands and how he reacts to your actions with different parts of his range. 

    We know what our 'decision' is going to be before we bet, having thought about how your range looks to him when you check and when you bet, (and when you bet different sizes,) and how this in turn effects his actions. (and therefore how best to proceed in the hand)

    Checking because you think it's the most profitable way to play your hand on this board against this player having taken this preflop line against his percieved range is fine.

    Checking because you want to 'avoid a decision' is not fine. 

    You're starting to read the hand and think deeper rather than trying to make generalisations about a players actions. This is how you start to improve and move your game on to the next level and how our/your edge over your opponents increases. 

    clue: it's hard. But 'that's poker' ;)

    Hand 11 I like flatting the flop with the intention of calling down most runouts. If he calls your shove you're doomed as played. Let him keep leading if he wants he can't possibly have anything on that board with his line. 7s maybe. Just pick the bluff off.

    Played 1 MTT today, min cashed went out just after the bible, SB min raised and shoved for 10 bigs with 4-8o/s

    Some people may think this is a terrible play, but oppo had been doing it a fair bit and didnt expect to get looked up lol

    Since challenge with Kalie started played 6, cashed twice.

    save the shove with 48o for the button with 6bb not the bb with 10

    4 8 isn't terrible but would rather you shoved UTG the hand prior with anything. If I can give you another tip for SKY poker I wouldn't worry about falling under 10 bigs, there are no antes you can play under 10 comfortably.

    Totally gutted.

    Played a live tournie today, 1st plave 600, 2nd 300, 3rd 140, 4th 65

    I end up going out 4th, and this is what happened...

    I have 120k, blinds 5-10, 600k chips in play.

    1 Player is sitting with 4bb and has been for 30 mins, just trying to ladder.

    I'm in the BB, button opens to 35k, a tell he has a monster.

    I'm sitting with AQ. I open shove, he snap calls with Kings, flop xxQ, i dont improve.

    Gutted out in 4th place for 65 quid. After 6 hours of play, if i had just been a bit more patient, i would easily had £140 if not more....

    The raise pre pretty much shows he has a monster, and i shove. Totally annoyed with myself.

    Why does a raise from the button mean he has a monster? Do you mean because he was short enough to be shoving with the rest of his range? If so, and your read is good, flat. It's not the worst shove in the world, you can still hit your ace, and he could have had JJ maybe??

    results orientated post imo

    you have 12 bigs
    a premium hand
    and a button raise which could mean anything readless
    don't beat yourself up
    you could have doubled up
    and 1st/2nd a lot better than laddering to 3rd
    and yes, very tedious when someone is just sitting on a mini-stack
    but that cannot stop you playing for the win
