Keep posting Tom, you never know, it might inspire just ONE person to battle on. You could save a life, how good would that be? And yes, I'm very proud of Gill. To be honest, she's woefully slow in these runs, & will always be. But it's a healthy pursuit, & an achievement to even try to run one. She trains every night, & has done 4 organized runs now - Bushy Park, Richmond, Osterley, & Central London - & I buy her a little trophy for each one, get it engraved & everything.   She's down for the weekend this weekend, & left here at 10sm this morning for an 11 mile jog. 11 miles, sheesh. She'd never jogged or run anywhere until last June. She had spent 10 days with me in Vegas, we'd gone across to the California coast & got engaged, happiest day ever. When she came home, 3 weeks before I was due to return, she felt a bit lost, she needed to do something, as, bizarrely, she was missing me, & due to time difference & workload, we could not chat every night as we normally do. So she took up jogging.

Made ft of 2 tournaments last night, my fav £2 deep stack, where I was chip leader for a while until my A 9 bully raise to the shorter stack got turned over by K 10 suited with 2 Aces on board, and the £5 £500 gtd Bounty Hunter where my qq was eventually beaten by a limped A4 on button who decided to shove my raise and spike an A.. Happy days :)

We have had a fairly busy week, both Sarah and I are working extra hours at work due to workload, I usually ring her when I have finished on my Bluetooth in the new car ( blatant brag) , but apparently I am using it a tad wrong as the gubbins is worked on the steering wheel when I use the touch screen part. Bring back 20th century.

We are on the last knockings of booking the holiday, 4 days in Vegas with a cruise, my good lady is convinced our lovely daughter is planning to get married in Vegas whist we are there, I don't know what to think of this as I would love to walk her down the aisle in a traditional wedding, but to say Chloe is her own woman and stubborn is an understatement, either way I would be a proud father and would undoubtedly get emotional.

Had a good evening poker wise last night, cashed in a £5 bounty hunter, and won the £2 deep stack again, i would love to know how many times I have won this particular tournament ( just for research purposes ;) if only someone would produce tables for us minions who play the lower stakes games here ;)

I celebrated my hard fought win by starting the cleaning early this morning, hope I didn't wake Alex up with my trusty Hoover.

The holiday is booked :) We travel to Vegas for 4 nights then join a cruise for 7 days. My dear Daughter is coming with us as is her boyfriend.
You would have thought it would be straightforward booking a holiday, think again if it's anything like our booking.
First they had us on the wrong ship, then our flights were not showing on our manage my booking details, then we had no baggage allowance on a connecting flight, on a cost of over £6k for us all you would have thought these fine details would be looked after, nope we have been on the phone umpteen times., it's similar to the angst poker players feel in a freeroll ;)
We felt sorry for our son Alex who actually plays poker on this site being te one we were leaving behind ( he did tell us it was ok as he couldn't stump up that kind of money) it was like when someone says "yea all of you go and enjoy yourself I will look after the dog" type of look though.

Soooo, My dear wife had the fab idea we could use our air miles to see if we could get the cost down, cue more stress and phone calls, we thought we had it sorted until just at the point of booking the lady said the wrong date return, when we corrected her the cost went up by £300, doh. We decided to bite the bullet and book it for him. Looked this Morning at the booking and they have spelt his middle name wrong....aghhhhhh.

Poker doing ok, cashed in my fav tourney for a few shekels last night (where my scope Paul ;) cashed in Mini Bh and won the £100 gtd PL08 , got some way to go to pay for the holiday but every little helps.
Made wife breakfast in bed today, I'm awesome.

My neighbour Sasha is away at the weekend and wants me to look after her 2 Cats, she mentioned they need lots of attention.

My question is, should I play with the Cats for Sash?

I think deep down you know its morally wrong, but then you'll find yourself doing it anyway cos you don't practise what you preach.

    Mind the claws.

The jury is out on my play on words above, dunno if it was too subtle ;)
My good lady and I were driving back from our shopping trip the other day, we saw an elderly man on the pavement with a concerned looking woman beside him, I stopped the car to the derision of the drivers behind me, they were honking their horns and giving me glaring looks as they went to their important meetings at the pub.
We got out and rushed over to offer our assistance, "Are you ok, do you need an ambulance" we asked, cue bemused looks, " No it's ok, we are just checking our water meter, our bill was very high "

Poker went ok last night, cashed in Bounty Hunter, Fin 7th in £2 Deepstack, and won a £1 entry PL 08

Today I am feeling very low, we had a financial advisor round yesterday as I have a pension due to mature on  my birthday in April. I am not too great with money so my no 1 choice was take either the 25% out you can tax free ( holiday spending money ) Or take it all out ( more holiday spending money)

My level headed good lady wife has a slightly different opinion, which doesn't involve holiday spending money...

The obvious fact of my current health situation had to be put out there to give the advisor all the info to base a neutral judgement, when Sarah said the word incurable it brought me back down to earth from my previous jovial mood.

He said, best to leave it in, sigh..onwards and downwards.
