Sorry to read about the job front. Has the firm gone under or making some cuts? RE:Tiles if the neighbours tiles caused the damage can you maybe claim off their insurance? I doubt if the excess will be worth claiming on your own. Trouble is when you most need a roofer, after storm damage, they are pretty hard to get hold of. Good luck on all fronts.

I am feeling a little better today thanks, my good lady and I ( not so much I ) did my cv last night and got a list of firms I will send them to, she applied for 2 last night for me to show me the ropes, I have had a call this morning from a recruitment agency who are very positive ( aren't they all ) My cv looks good to be honest, its all true and I never thought I was this good :)

In Response to Re: My story : Sorry to hear this-PM me if you feel anything is not quite "right".... If the damage to your roof is substantial, may be worth contacting your own buildings insurer. There was some storm damge to our house-my wife said leave well alone, as it needs a man to fix it!

I have a job interview this coming Wednesday so we decided to have a nice drive out today to check how long it takes to get there.
During the drive the car in front of us went over the footpath, across into oncoming traffic, hit a vehicle pulling a trailer carrying horses which hit us then the trailer went on its side and landed on another car.

We are lucky to be alive. I wonder if this is the last of my sh it times.

I better take the sat nav on Wednesday and set off early.

It never rains but it pours mate!

Best of luck in the job interview, you are certainly due some run good.

I love the fact that after all the tough times you are encountering, you never lose your great sense of humour. That says a lot about the kind of bloke you are.

    All the best mate

    Wow.

Blame Mrs Duck for the real-life bok.

Hope you are all ok from the crash and that the insurance companies resolve any damage without fuss.

    Good luck with the interview.

Most appropriate finishing 13th in Dtd yesterday....

Insurance companies playing silly beggars, how could it possibly be classed a " Non Fault Claim" sigh...

Fin 2nd in a PL08 tourney, should I go over to the dark side? ;)

    Lovely day for a drive.

Thanks Jon, it went pretty well. I managed to make it there without incident thank goodness., I was there for 2 hours, must stop telling folk about my WSOP experience ;)

Finally moving forward with the " accident " , we have just picked up the courtesy car, apparently our car will take at least 2 weeks to fix, the court case is on the 20th April so that may be the date when the girl finally admits responsibility for the collision.

I was born on the wrong date, my Birthday is next Monday...DTD will have to take a back seat on that day, oh the dilemma...

Omg Tom so glad everyone is ok. Wishing you luck in your job hunt. I am sure you won't be unemployed for long as someone will see what an asset you will be to their company. Well they say bad luck comes in 3's let's hope it's all out of the way and your run of golden luck will start. Hugs Xx
