    Really?

Wow, I can't imagine anyone who might do something like that.......

Uh-huh. Not something you'd ever do, hey, T

    Shush you.

    ;)

    The clue was here;

a fair few people will have a stab at that hoping you were on an A2xx kinda low hand and fold to any resistance

Population tendencies tell us that in O8, most players, most of the time, will be playing low-based hands. So yes, an all-paint flop is a great bluffing spot. Sometimes.......

I did it last night (again......?) to Eon, when I called him pre & it came K-K-9.

He lead out, so I stuck it in his eye with my all low affair. Mostly it works.

When he stuck it right back up me I kinda sussed he had it.

Exactly right. Far too many people (or not enough - depending on your perspective) completely overvalue 4 low cards so when you have someone down as a low hunter you can get a lot of easy chips on that kind of flop. Bluffing in OHL is obvz completely different to that 2 cards stuff but the above situation is a great example of the perfect spot for it.

The one's you win more than cover the ones you lose and any kinda check-raise or re-raise in that situations means you can just let it go relatively cheaply - like the example with Eon.

    Hello,

Back again over the past week, started with a small deposit and won the £200 BH at 1800 last Monday for £50+, after a few games and some poor bets, i mean c'mon real getting pumped 3 nil.. plus trying to get some streaks together at the £1.10 level i ended up down to 0.80p mix and match of MTT's & DYMS.

In between theses i was playing some PLO8 best streak only got to 4 at the £2.20 level and never really got going.

So with my 80p i've been playing some micro stake DYMS some 28p turbos and 55p games.

Mainly back playing PLO8 see some regulars still around mainly EON, ADZBO, GERRARD,........ Wheres @Tikay10 ???? Still very active on forum but surprised not to find you at the PLO8 tables.

Well after a few games i've been playing micro PLO8 and gonna see what i can do, not deposited anymore, yet. i will if i need to but gonna see how far i go with what i have. I played the freeroll earlier and got £3. apart from these it has just been PLO8.

I will where possible play the freerolls this week and DYMS when i can.

graph doesn't seem to be copying over but results are,

    BUY IN PLAYED WON LOST
    0.55 9 6 3
    1.10 3 3 0
    2.20 1 0 1

So up to a massive £5.80, will keep going through the week and see how it plays out.

    Good evening,

Well not managed much of a streak, but also not managed many games.
With the plo8 games being extremely slow to fill and not wanting to play more than 2 at a time, best i've managed is 3 a few times I think but not hit 4.Been enjoying the plo8 dyms just so slow getting started. Seems to be a lot quieter than it used to be and even then the traffic wasn't great.

Also the forum seems much less active as well from what I remember. Not sure why that's happened.

Just settling in to watch the Celtic game, hopefully get a result away and Leipzig to get beat.

having a small look through some hands of the week as well, biggest losing hand of the week was the streak ender. have notes on this player but TBH not the best notes, but became clear why I had notes there.

You don't HAVE to remove aliases unless the idea of the HH is to diss or embarrass them, & I know you well enough to know you'd never do that.

    Evening all,

How is everyone, been playing some PLO8 MTT's, and looking for advice on the different approaches from DYM PLO8 to MTT PLO8.

Mainly hand ranges, should i bee seeing a lot more hands than what i would playing a DYM.

Ran deep in a few and cashed but no wins, There is one guy i bump into pretty much every tourney, seems to be at the same table every game. Now i had notes on this person A DYM note, long the lines of goes against the big stacks when not needed, so basically had enough chips to see it through but seemed to get involved when not needed. This would've been last year when i was playing a bit more. So note appears on the alias although not really useful now as it MTT play not DYM. and tbh seems a fairly solid MTT PLO8 player. Seem to build quite the stack most MTT's iv'e seen him in and runs deep. Anyway had a few run ins and helped that stack get bigger, ill see if i can find some hands.. and put them up later.

Also been playing the free rolls and had some quick exits and yesterday i though i would've went a bit further than i did.

the hand i wish i played, as i went out not long after,,

    howdy all,

Peace and quiet for a couple of hours, wife and kids out for a while, oldest (7) has brownies the mayhem upon their return . Mainly the youngest (2)

Best time of year for them on the build up to Christmas, lots of family fun nights games, films mainly xmas movies of course, home alones etc, bit young for die hard yet but soon enough.

    anyway, played 2 PLO8 MTT's last night the £50 £2.20 and the £5.50 £200.
Came 4th in the £2.20 and 12th i think in the £5.50. was in desperate need for a double up and thought i was getting it but the J on the river ended it and KK67 was the exit hand not long after.

Yea sorry about that one. I think I was busy typing 'nh gg' when no low came to my rescue after you flopped trip 4s then saw the pot come my way! If it's any consolation I don't think I cashed either.

Interestingly I've just run that through an odds calculator and I was nearly a 2 to 1 favourite pre, I just assumed it was roughly 50/50.

Nice playing with you anyway and good luck tonight, I am out treating my other half to a birthday meal so your revenge will have to wait until the weekend.

TBF ive had my fair share flips go my way, when the cards were turned i was in trouble, liked those 4's though, for a second :) just remember more i suppose,

enjoy your night and no doubt we will meet again soon. Maybe Sunday, Birthday bash tomorrow for the wife and I and possibly meet up for the works xmas night out which is in the casino. i do enjoy a game of roulette and brag.

Just bee papped oot the BH again there. A few hands to discuss later, maybe some of the more regular PLO8 tourney players can have some input on how to approach MTT's in PLO8.

    Cheers a @Angmar2626

Been away from poker for a bit, this was the last diary i started as i started to really enjoy the PLO8. only play for fun really. PLO8 traffic increased a good bit, there used to a few threads and challenges, sad to see there isn't much happening with it now. Think it was @Phantom66 had the 1000 game thread and i'm sure there was another similar to the take-down where you could win prizes from the PLO8 MTT schedule.

Although i'm not one for commenting on a lot of diary's i like to read them and see how people get on, you learn a lot from them and get to know the people behind them to an extent with their life stories out with poker. Seen your diary and 10k for the year is a great effort VWP. whats next? 20k? Scared to look at my shark scope as i think mines is more -10k lol

I'm only playing small stakes ta the minute and do not have a bankroll. Christmas time first then hopefully i can make a better go of it next year. Also need a new desktop, the youngest Sophie who is 2 like to watch her YouTube videos on it but decided to throw and the screen is F****d. Worst part is it is an all in one PC. So think it will be cheaper to replace than repair. so on a laptop for now which isn't the best. especially for anything above 2 tables.

So i'm going to start a new challenge in the new year, and hopefully see some profit through the year, maybe not to the 10k extent but i would be happy to make some to withdraw rather than deposit. i'm not sure how sharkscope works, i'm sure i locked mine as people like to search and chat box that i'm such a losing player :), not sure if there is a way to reset stats and start fresh, not even sure if there is a cost to it either. Anyway off back to continuing tidying the house for my mother who is coming up to watch the little ones as the wife and i are getting a wee night out. Hopefully one or 2 of my bets come in and ill have a wee bit more cash for some poker tomorrow.

You can reset Sharkscope - all of mine are reset to the start of Summer when I started actually trying to build a bankroll, but I removed the resets quickly for YTD graph. Think it's for paid subscribers only - can't remember how much it is - something like a tenner a month, or maybe even 8 dollars? Not sure. Sky is opt-in only now though so you won't glean too much about other players who aren't opted in, even if you have a subscription.

Tyty :) 20k would definitely be a nice target, not sure how realistic it would be. Would love to reach high stakes but I'm not a professional by any stretch of the imagination, nor will I ever be. Will do my best to climb the stakes but not sure I have the time to work on my game enough. You never know though!

@Angmar2626 , cheers, didn't relise u had to be a member, i went and opted in and then went to reset, as u said have to be a member. I will join next year if i am to start a challenge diary of sorts. It wasn't as bad as i thought, not minus 10k just 1.5k :) not sure if that included my losses on skybet and roulette right enough. but that is over 8 years i think . Aim will be to turn that around hopefully.
