Sky James had dribbled a few off & was down to 600,000.
NMongoosez made it 52,000, & James called.
The flop was K-10-5, two spades.
The Goose checked, James bet out, Goose quickly said "All-In" & James called even quicker.
Goose had flopped HUGE, he has Q-J of spades for the double draw - spade flush & open ender.
James had K-Q, with only backdoor improvers.
By my calculations, the Goose had 192 outs twice (roughly) & so James, who was covered by the Goose, was in a very deep pile of poo, but he somehow swerved all those outs & so more than doubled up to about 1,300,000.
In Response to Re: ** SKY POKER TOUR MANCHESTER | LIVE UPDATES ** : pleasure to meet and chat with you Dollie, fun table.....until my bluff went wrong ! Posted by glencoelad
In Response to Re: ** SKY POKER TOUR MANCHESTER | LIVE UPDATES ** : Yeah very fun table to be on and played in a great spirit. Great to meet Gordon who is a class act and good banter with yourself George as well as Sky Mark too along with others. Managing to fluke myself Marks Bounty prize was very nice as well ;-). Looking forward to the next one. Very well played all of Sky for your efforts on this one Posted by lyonsbob06
Yes was a great table and good to meet up with you guys and others. Hopefully our paths will cross again. Absolute full marks to Sky team for a superb week end.
James goes to war against BFF & they see an intriguing 8-9-9 flop. Fatfish checks, James jams all-in & FatFish calls instantly. BFF has Q-Q, & James has J-10. The J-10 of James looks like an open-ender, but the top end is dead, as if the Queen falls that's a full house for BFF. So he needs to find a 7. Instead, he turns the J & rivers the 10 for Top Two but a worse two pair. James is BUSTO in 6th place for £3,260 Posted by Tikay10
But 2 pair didn't win the hand....
Great updates from you all and gl to those left in.
Had a brilliant time, although shot o clock with the Rutter meant I didn't even remember my exit hand!
I also forgot I got stuck in the lift for 40 mins until reminded. So the "distressed look" you mentioned teeks was probably from being starved of er, soft drinks all that time.
Big high 5 to all the SKY staff and casino floor, it was a pretty cool place.
Met lots of new faces too, to name a few.... rspca aka the jagerbomb monster, Alvez, also another drinking partner I found, Timmy RARA, who really needs to buy a pack of cigarettes, the the lovely cpfc!
Also Lol @ tikay with team flounce! He didn't even pick up a smoking fine
Excellent play james and very unlucky mate. just goes to show live poker gives awful beat beats itself, I've played sky poker for 5 years but rarely have I got a bad beat , you could count the total simular bad beats i've had using just 1 hand

Tim Hickling is on something of a heater & is taking down hand after hand.
He just raised again, & TheSaw called, & they saw a 7-7-8 flop.
Tim bet, Saw called, & they both checked the 5 turn.
On the J river, Saw made it 100,000 to go (into about 300,000) & Tim quickly made it 200,000.
Saw fretted for a bit, then called, only to be shown Q-Q by Tim which was, evidently, good enough.
BIG POT ALERT

We are now 10 minutes into Level 24, so blinds are 20,000-40,000/5,000.

Live Poker is Rigged Alert
Just seen an amazing hand.
Sky James opened, WI03 moved all-in & James quickly called.
WI03 - 5-5
Sky James - K-K
They both have a club in their hand.
James flops Wi03 pretty much dead - K-2-6 with 2 clubs - so WI03 needs runner-runner.
Dealer burns & turns & we see the 3 of clubs on the turn.
WI03 needs to ping a non-club 4 on the river, & there are gasps all round the room as he hits exactly that.
That puts Sky James down to approx 400,000 (10 Bigs or so) & WI03 is flying high now.
So the next time some smart alec comes on this forum with all their "internet poker is rigged" tosh, quote the hand above.

What a tremendous effort by James, he flew the Staff flag with great aplomb.
p.s liked the 'Saw fretted' pun, top posting Tikay, doing a fine job as always.
The Goose opens, & the short-stacked Andy Watson moves all-in. The Goose quickly calls.
The Goose has A-5, & Andy has K-7 of diamonds.
A drama free run out means we lose Andy Watson in 5th place for £3,910.
Players are currently on a short break.
Chip counts imminent.
