Always tickles me when Sharkscope 'ability' rating appears in an argument about a player's ability. As a measurement of a player's ability, it's about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
There's a player on here who is down close to £100k, mostly on high stakes DYMs. He stopped playing a couple of years ago. He is rated 68 on Sharkscope.
Sharkscope ratings are very heavily weighted towards the stake that a player is playing. As a result, a losing SNG player with £30 average stake who limps 80% of hands will often have a higher rating than a solid winning reg in £5 SNGs.
Likewise, playing big BI tournaments regularly is also going to skew a Sharkscope rating.
