The idea that the US should have barred "foreign nationals" earlier and that that would make all the difference is, at best, flawed.
Thousands of US nationals are ethnic Chinese. Thousands of those (as is traditional) would have been visiting family in China for weeks during Chinese New Year.

I lied. Imo, these are a very rough guide indeed. The death rate will be a far smaller percentage when more testing is carried out.The total cases recorded will massively undershoot the amount of cases there currently are out there, by a long chalk.Numbers of deaths outside hospitals will muddy the stats.
The countries at the bottom of the 200+ list had a handful of cases maybe a week ago. Now they have hundreds, which means some countries won’t have the PPE, or medicines. Even though millions of pieces of medical equipment and medicines are seen being delivered, that supply gets used up in no time at all.There are far more stories to post about that shortage, even for me, delete. This gear gets used up at a rapid rate,and so much is made in China, along with the raw materials for the medicines. Some countries have run out or at the very bottom of their supply of medicine.
This guy is really clued up. Apparently there’s a world wide shortage of medical equipment. Just need to test to see if anyone has the virus, already had it, or who they’ve come in contact with. Even though there’s a world wide shortage of testing equipment and and chemicals,sounds good to me. Good luck with that one fella. In the mean time, let’s try and sing it to death.
